This is true. Those that do not actually require a service animal for actual valid reasons like this trash it for those who do.
Cats have been known in studies to be favoured by smarter people. Dogs are, minus rare exceptions, idiots and those starved of mass attention and no real friends find them slightly more appealing so they settle for a literal mouth drooler.
Apparently you can use biometrics instead of a password each time you require access. Not sure if that still seems like a bother or not, I personally do not mind.
