Theres a newish neighbourhood near me with a high percentage of reasonably cashed up retired people... nice houses with 2 car garages on small blocks. Every other house has a caravan or a boat and they almost all park them on the street.
Some of the streets have been effectively reduced to one lane in both directions, sure its legal but its a giant pain in the balls to get around.
Personally I think its possibly a bad reaction to the right thinking in a counterintuitive way.
Rape, sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking... they have all been reduced to some of the most vile crimes in the eyes of most men these days that when you hear people claim "Men" do this that some men have a very "Hey, FUCK YOU!" reaction.
It was so obvious bait to dumb misogynists it was painful, which isnt to say that if I posted "If I found myself alone in the forest with a bear or a feminist I'd pick the bear because it cant destroy my life with a baseless allegation of sexual assault" that the feminists wouldnt have bitten just as hard.
Rage means engage. Any time someone is trying to piss me off I look for the money. Are they getting booked on talk shows? Is there a book? Do they do speaking tours? Do they have a sponsored podcast?...
I mean, I do know girls who dated an endless string of painfully handsome guys who spent all their free time in the gym and taking selfies only to find out that they were shallower than a mud puddle and couldnt keep their dick in their pants.
I'm not allowed to say ANYTHING negative if someone calls for a staff reference for a past staff member. Not if its a verifiable fact, not if I can provide evidence, not if I CAN SHOW THEY WERE CHARGED FOR WHAT GOT THEM FIRED.
The most negative thing I can do is say "They worked here between these dates" and repeat that answer for any and all questions.
Also lets take a moment to appreciate the sheer waste of space that is this building. Sure, large concrete cubes are boring, they are however space efficient.
I really hope that by the time my kids grow up I hear the words "We need to go shopping, our new place feels so empty"
Well... I AM the next of kin. Its not like I hate the man, he was just a pretty shitty dad. He has friends and family who would want a funeral to attend. I can legally speaking say "Not my problem" and the government will give him a free cremation and return the ashes to me or my sister but thats it.
Me getting him to prepay it wasnt just a smart investment for me, it also meant that he couldnt kick the bucket at the worst possible time and put me in a position where I had to chose between looking after the best interests of my family and keeping the mortgage paid OR giving him a decent send off. Because honestly, in that spot he would lose.
Selfishly I do hope he doesnt manage to spend it all, but knowing its paid is just something I know I dont need to worry about.b
My dad really wasnt much of a dad, when my grandmother died and he got left a little money we had a pretty frank conversation "I never expected you to leave me a cent, because I never expected you to have one. So do me a favor, prepay your funeral with some of this money then piss the rest up the wall for all I care. Just dont stick me with a bill when you go."
