I mean, logically I know why, but it just feels so weird and out of place in the 21st century.

Like you got this high tech vehicle with a bunch of computers inside and a lot of screens/displays, radios, GPS, “assisted driving”, then you see this mirror that’s thousands of years old and not some advanced 360 radar system.

I know that a mirror isn’t gonna fail like electronics do, so its better reliability, but still feel odd seeing old tech and new tech merged.

I saw an urgent care (in the US) using iPads in a thick case and I think an apple pencil for signatures? (or maybe I misremembered and just used my finger to draw the signature).

And it forces you to be on ground level, since its very difficult to take off from insidee a building and out a tiny gap in the window (I've tried it before, I crash on the window frame lol). When a protest is happening, you as a citizen-journalist wanna get as far away as possible, so that you can preserve the footage and therefore use it to sway public opinion. Find a good vantage point in a building somewhere with line-of-sight to a protest, set up cameras with scopes, and record from far away.

At least, that's my opinion. You can go Ukranian FPV with fiber cabled if you are that skilled in DIY and flying drones, be my guest 😅

Drone are trackable btw. They used to have DJI Aeroscope, they don't officially sell it now, but they could still sell it in secret.

One or two people doing it is fine, but if it become a trend, they will implement a no-drone zone via executive order (which is probably legal btw), then jam them or shoot at it. I'm thinking more of a binocular attached to camera and record from far away type of thing. Very discreet, no propeller noises. All you need is a clear line of sight.
