  • The last thing NASA wants to do is to loose astronauts during a mission. This would just be compounded by the fact it is an election year.

If returning with a proven Dragon capsule is even a few percentage points safer than returning with Starliner that has thruster issues, they are going to do it.

Boeing royally screwed up the entire Dreamliner program as well as Artemis production. With Sierra’s Dreamchaser potentially coming online as third alternative for manned space flight. I doubt NASA has fewer issues with letting Boeing go at this point.

  • His campaign was primarily funded by big money Trump supporters to do just what Jill Steins run in 2016 did to Hillary. He was supposed to peel off dissatisfied left wing or Democrat supporters who would never vote Republican. It only takes a few percentage points to swing the election in a few crucial states to win.

In the end his stances on vaccines, conspiracy theories and general crazy antics ended up peeling off more Trump supporters. He may have been left leaning in the past but don’t imagine for a second he didn’t sell out to the Right wing.

If you want anymore proof just look at the timing of his announcement. He announced he was pulling out of the race at the tail end of the Democratic convention. By doing this is diverting news media attention away from Harris’s acceptance of the nomination.

Not that Democrats do similar things. Biden announced he was dropping out at the tail end of the Republican convention and completely stole any press coverage from Trump and moved the narrative to Harris.

It’s just politics in a two party winner take all system.

  • I’ve replaced all of my Reddit comments for the past year with AI generated nonsense. It seems to have stuck. I plan on going through all of my past comments but will spread it out over time so that it’s harder to restore.

IMO the key is making a post that writes gibberish but that is good enough to suck a user in to read it for a few seconds before they realize it is BS. That kills the user experience and poisons the site.

  • In this case they suspect there were a number of features on the yacht that contributed to its sinking. It had the world’s tallest aluminum mast, a retractable keel and large openings for windows and hatches all over the main deck that were most likely unsecured at the time.

They suspect she was knocked down by high winds or a water spout. Sailboats get knocked down all the time but all the factors I listed above may have contributed to her being unable to right herself quickly and subsequently filling with water.

  • “The convention is the best time to do it! That's when cameras are on and you can get your message out and be sure the Party sees it. If protest is productive at all it's when eyes are on it. Disruptions are the point.”

And there it is, you have no interest in seeing Trump defeated. You don’t seem to have any interest in dialogue either. It’s the attention for a cause that has little to do with winning a national election that you want. Your movement now wants to hold the Democratic convention hostage so you can get your message out.

For the sake of winning the election and not seeing Trump as president, I hope fail publicly and miserably at getting it.

  • Dems are there to win an election. Not to pledge support or advocate for group of foreigners whom the majority of the country they are running for reelection in do not support.

You didn’t see the same expectations for Palestinian support during the Republican convention because no one on the right gives a shit about them.

  • You can complain, but the convention is not the time and place for it. Trying to disrupt the convention to get headlines only helps Trump.

Projecting drama because the majority of Americans including Democrats may not agree with you is not productive.
