I live in New Jersey and all the friends I have that own a home either got financial help from there parents or moved all the way out to West Bumblefuck in order to buy a home.

It's amazing how many laws and initiatives where put in place to help Boomers and older generations succeed in life and how they slowly stripped everything away after they benefited from it.

In reality it was a gradual thing that kind of crept up over time. William Shatner(cause that's how he rolls I guess) also kissed actress France Nuyen (half white/half Chinese) on TV, which could also be considered first.

The kiss between Shatner and Nichols is the first kiss between a white and black person on TV. Which if you're a racist would probably upset you the most so it gets mentioned as the first I guess.

People also forget that a white woman kissing a Cuban man on TV also wasn't exactly cool with alot of people in the 50s. Could technically be considered the first interracial kiss 🤷🏻

Kind of but, no. Discovery just isn't for me and I'm not planning on ever watching the rest. Are you saying that it gets better after season 2?

Picard got a new show runner after season 2. So it's less the show getting it's footing and more hiring better writers.

Lower Decks and SNW I've liked from the start.

Woke didn't evolve, it was highjacked and purposely used incorrectly to mock.

Woke is an adjective derived from African-American Vernacular meaning "alert to racial prejudice and discrimination". Woke has been used this way for decades and anyone using it differently is using it incorrectly.

So gay characters should only be in media to tell stories about gay people problems? Is that how you think the real world works, like a gay person never accomplished anything other than progressing the gay agenda. Why can't there just be a story of a man who does a thing and then goes home to his husband. You know, like how real life works lol.

Discovery - I stopped watching after season 2 cause I thought it was so bad

Picard - season 1-2 terrible. Season 3 pretty good

Lower Decks - all good

Strange New worlds - only watched S1, not my favorite but will definitely watch S2

Prodigy - never saw it so IDK

I think Discovery and Picard really ruined the reputation of modern Star Trek. Overall I think it's at worst it's average.

As a rather left leaning Person I have no problem with TOS beeing "woke" in general.

The way how "woke" ideas are implemented just feels like pandering to the audience. Black, Asian and female characters... At least they got rid of number one after the pilot, no need to pander to the female audience with two women on the bridge crew.

People where always upset with the level of "wokeness" in Star Trek. The difference being that less where aware of it and if you wanted to complain you had to physically write a letter, go down to the post office, buy some stamps, and mail it in. Today you can just tweet some bullshit from your couch.

uxury apartments in premium locations is the first thing I would think of too if I were a developer, but their target buyers don't sound like the sort of people who currently suffer from the housing crisis.

It'll have a domino effect, more apartments in Manhattan means less people in Brooklyn, Queens, etc. meaning prices go down in the latter boroughs. I live in Jersey City across the Hudson from Manhattan and a large part of the residents here are just people who can't afford to live in Manhattan.

Yes, I used to live in a converted office building in Newark NJ (not far from Manhattan) and really loved it. And yes people will always want to live in NYC and especially Manhattan. Many people, myself included simply prefer living in cities. I've also looked for apartments in Manhattan and it's completely different than anywhere else.

1. I'm not judging you or telling you what to buy with your money. Everything I wrote is factual.
2. The i20 is a smaller car than the i30. When I say the Kona is literally the same car as the i30 I mean literally the same car. Same size, same chassis, same interior, made in the same factory. It's the same exact car except with one being taller and because of that height gets worse gas milage/more Co2.
3. If you're upset that someone wrote an article about your life choices, take it up with them. The authors name is at the top.

The whole point of this post is how cars today emit more Co2 than they did ten years ago. I'm just pointing out that people like you are the reason this is true. The Kona is literally(not figuratively) an i30 jacked up a couple of inches and now emits more Co2.

Why not get the i30 instead though? They're the same car but the Kona gets less gas milage and is worse for the environment?
