There is one thing I want from jellyfin. It is to be able to login from their Android app to watch or set something to record without jumping through a bunch of hoops.

I didn't know that. I was thinking it would work wireless like when I connect headphones the PS5 controller.

I thought about using pop! How do you like it? My home and work laptops run arch but I wanted something more stable for this.

I tried kdeconnect and really liked it while I used it. Had a weird issue where my Google TV kept turning off. Every time I woke my phone screen up, my TV would turn off. Couldn't figure out how to fix it so I deleted the app and the TV worked perfectly again. Only had kdeconnect on my Linux mint laptop and pixel phone.
