  • I have a Surface Go 1 perfectly running Fedora while running an Ubuntu VM at the same time. The hardware isn’t old, but it ain’t powerful.

I also have a 2012 MacBook Pro running Fedora as a f it was a monster. But the Ram and harddrive have been upgraded.

So I guess it’s perfectly fine.

  • I’ve now installed Flauncher and ADB and it works really well.

The only problem I encountered was that the colors now seemed way too warm on my TV.

I guess I may have unintentionally uninstalled or disabled something I shouldn’t have..

Edit: Finally had to go back to factory settings as I now couldn’t select the sources..so it’s back to normal Google experience..

  • It makes me think about a saying « the best energy is the one we’re not using ».

And also about capitalism, as the EV rise is great for companies as they can sell you an expensive car you’re only gonna own for a maximum of 20 years.

Weather a muscular bike is gonna last forever and only be sold once for a limited amount of money.

Still, I love cars, so I ain’t perfect..

  • Thanks for the answer. I might give it a try soon.

It’s a shame you can’t just format the TV and put some Linux distribution on it.

But I guess a lot of TV’s wouldn’t work afterwards and it would be more difficult to fix than a normal computer.

  • Yeah, everything looks nice but I can’t see my comments or my posts anymore..

Still, apparently people can, as they are answering to them..

Edit: of course after I ‘ve said that, the normal situation is almost reestablished. I can see my comments in any post, but not under my account..

  • It may be true for some professional applications but Linux fits really fine in my life and would also fit really fine in most of my family’s life if they had the courage to get rid of windows.

About gaming, I don’t know, but most people just use their computer for browsing and administrative tasks so they should be okay.

  • I didn’t get the technicalities, but, if it’s not just greenwashing, then every effort is welcome.

Still, the best energy is the one we don’t use and leaving nature as it is is way better than destroying it and finding some damage control.
