The moment you approach the machine it yells at you to scan your membership card. Then it yells at you to scan your items. Then it yells at you to put it in the bag area. Then it yells at you to use the PIN pad. Then it yells at you to thank you for shopping at Costco.
I'm wondering how many people got kicked out of the store already for snapping and yelling back at the machine to STFU.
One thing that has been annoying me lately are self checkout machines. They play the same pre-recorded message every time you're done using them. Some pointless message in the lines of "Thank you for using self checkout" or "Thanks for shopping with us". You've heard it a dozen times already from the surrounding machines by the time you complete your transaction and then it yells it at you. I feel terrible for the employee who has to stand there all day and have this stupid 3 second recording be the soundtrack of their day. I only have to listen to it for five minutes every week and I hate it already. This message must be playing in their nightmares at night.
