Idk it's been a while, I could be wrong.

I agree the death of the trans friend was exploitative, I don't really know what he said on the road. My opinion on the netflix content was that it wasn't any more offensive than any takes I've heard on any other groups from other comedians.

But I may be wrong, it's been a while since I saw the specials and I'm going off memory. I'm white straight cis and male so I may not always see past my privilege.

Anyway it was just my point of view. If you feel it's wrong you can just explain why you think so. It wasn't my intent to offend you.

I think Dave Chapelle would not consider himself transphobic and as far as I know has never opposed transgender rights.

His could be considered offensive when it comes to transgender people but they aren't an attack any more than his other jokes were an attack on other groups.

His reaction to the pushback feels like more of an ego thing than making any kind of stand on the topic.

Kind of feels like burning a house down to kill a spider.

A concept that requires you to both interpret the rules literally and then ignore the rules altogether in order to work.

It's not about getting rid of them, its about lowering their standard of life to below that of yourself so you can continue to feel superior in your race.

I'm doing the least social media I've done since Facebook became a thing and now I realize that without those emotions I'm just kind of bored.

I think climate change denial is less of a Christian thing and more of a Republicans don't want to lose money following EPA restrictions and are thus fighting reality.

And you're not obliged to. There's nothing immoral about not going out of your way to help people especially at risk to yourself.

While they are people and should be treated with dignity and not like animals, they are still people and like any stranger can be dangerous and unpredictable, especially in desperation.

Not to mention at least near where I live about a third of the homeless are mentally ill due to the state's incapacity to care for such people.

I've started getting angry when people declare that they refuse to give money to people begging because they'll just use it on drugs. More because of how frequently it comes up.

They aren't obliged to help anyone but just assuming every homeless person is a drug addict is so condescending.

And even if they were they are still a person and the money they beg for will is some part contribute to feeding them. You can't subsist off of drugs.

I see the same people burn money on the dumbest shit but act like giving money to homeless people is a sin against God.

Plus if you ever enter a horror movie scenario the squeaks would give you away.

Idk. I feel mentally healthier off social media. But its been around since I was in high school and I have no idea how to socialize with people outside my immediate circle now. My social muscles have atrophied.

I like to believe gender neutral words come from people mumbling a combination of the gendered ones and hoping that the listener assumes its whichever one relates to them.

Just people with anxiety creating new grammar one nervous encounter at a time.

Hamas should go die in a ditch. Doesn't mean Israel should murder civilians wholesale.

I think the kind of person who would want to benefit the masses would be someone who wouldn't seek power.

Would be a fun experiment to just force temporary authority on people randomly.
