  • This is actually a pretty decent idea considering what's coming now with AI video. I have no idea if it could be implemented, or if media even cares anymore, but I sure would appreciate it.

  • I get where you're coming from, and I tried this. The point is to get away from windows, and if the main program I use my computer for lacks essential features that affect my work, then I can't switch.

Honestly, calling people lazy without context just makes you another Linux bro and doesn't help bring people over.

  • The AAC issue and working directly from a NAS. It's adding a lot to the workload to work around AAC. NAS could be a me issue, but other programs have no issue with accessing it and working directly from it.

  • It's easy: stop sending federal funding to private clinics. Our taxes pay for public healthcare and should not be subsidizing the private sector. This will also free up more funds to pay our healthcare professionals what they're worth, which stops the exodus to the private sector.

  • Cut out my mother a few years ago and I'm doing pretty great. No more anxiety at family gatherings or random guilt tripping phone calls. It's amazing the behavior you recognize when you're no longer subject to it.

She was/is very manipulative and I'm hoping that my siblings eventually figure it out too. Two of them are firmly on her side while the other 2 remain neutral. I've explained to them my situation and they're all old enough to do with that information as they will.

There's no chance for reconciliation and I'm ok with that. This is the most I've been at peace in my life, so no regrets.

  • I'm definitely a Linux novice, tried it on and off over the last decade and currently dual boot Mint on my laptop. I love Mint, it's been the easiest version of Linux by far.

Now the bad, DaVinci Resolve Studio just does not play nice. I know this is more of a Resolve problem, but still, it doesn't connect to my NAS efficiently. As an editor, this is a deal breaker. I hope it gets fixed in the future.

Second, it won't even see my Bluetooth keyboard, once again, probably something to do with the hardware, but it works on everything else, even Android. I also have weird issues with my wireless Xbox controller in that the trigger buttons don't register in games. Still trying to troubleshoot that.

I still try to use Mint as often as I can, but there always something that keeps me from switching fully.

  • My Ender 3 v1 build is very close to this too +/- a few things, specifically linear rails, which absolutely corrected a lot of the little issues I was having. Speed isn't important to me, so I'll probably keep using it for years to come.
