  • To clarify, we all know the Citizens United decision legalized bribery of Congress; this article talks about the removal of protections on bribery and revolving door practices in the executive branch. With those protections in place he might have had trouble filling his administration with his favorite billionaires.

  • After getting those nastygrams myself then having to troubleshoot some other issues, I've ended up using solely a private tracker (iptorrents because I couldn't get an invite elsewhere) for torrents which I only use for manual search in radar/sonarr to minimize seeding space. Automatic downloads go through Usenet if I add something to my watchlist. I did have torrenting bound to PIA as a VPN in the past, but with Usenet and a private tracker I never felt the need to renew it.

  • Why do I hear so much bitching about wokeness from the silent ones? If they want to call themselves the silent ones they should shut the fuck up. I might be interested if they had anything to say beyond the vague 'we're getting behind' and 'everything is confusing' which gives old-man-yells-at-cloud energy.

  • With no controllers made by Apple, it seems VR gaming wasn't an intended use either as devs aren't going to port games if most users don't have them. Which only leaves people who will pay that price for a glorified external monitor.

  • Meanwhile one of the many cronies Trump pardoned was Charles Kushner, who Trump also wants to give an ambassadorship to France. If Republicans didn't have double standards they would have none at all.

  • What "contentious student loan forgiveness battles" would there be to oversee? The Trump administration certainly isn't going to continue Biden's efforts and there's zero chance of a Republican congress passing anything. Unless they're planning to somehow go after people who had their loans forgiven already, seems a dead issue.
