  • I think repos that do that just don't know how to link discord to GitHub. They want the notifications/engagement but can't get the two to talk.

Either that or they just don't want people to report issues on a public board.

Either way, I feel like it's bad all around.

  • What's why you always smoke ribs. If you have the space, a nice long charcoal smoke for 12 hours for the full billionaire. If you don't have the space, then 4-6 hours for just the ribs.

  • They don't have to pay unemployment if you are fired for performance.

That said, my understanding is that you should always file for unemployment and file an appeal when it's denied. Chances are higher that it will get overturned on appeal.

  • It's not just lease costs. It's insurance /Liability, HVAC, cleaning services, toilet paper, med kits...so much money is being spent just to make it possible for people to just sit at a desk and zoom into meetings.

Honestly...I don't know why boards of directors aren't screaming for CEOs to drop RTO requirements purely from a profit perspective...unless those board members are also the same landlords of these office buildings.

  • Putting aside the whole Republican duplicity thing, I don't think this is double jeopardy.

Impeachment is, in essence, a political procedure to remove someone from office. There doesn't need to even be a crime (see Biden's impeachment for an example).

So assuming for a moment that a president was impeached, that trial is to remove him from office, not to try him for a crime.

And even then, impeachment trials are civil where there is no jeopardy.

  • Yeah I saw the Google sheets scraping tool and that looked promising but I don't want to have to rely on Xpath since it could change.

Right now I'm leaning toward change detector but can't get the reverse proxy to work.

  • More and more services are REQUIRING a gmail/outlook/etc. account simply because bots/scammers bombard their services. It's their cheap captcha.

I'm seeing it more and more and it infuriates me to no end.

  • "Conservatives don't care about free speech. Conservatives cares about power. Faithfulness, old-time values, homemade bread, that’s the just means to the end. It’s a distraction. I thought you would have figured that out by now."

  • The color palette of fortune 100 companies seem to be, in order of frequency: Blue, Red, and White (not counting negative space).

I think that there was some study that found that these colors are the most impactful or some shit.

  • There's a loop hole where companies don't have to pay minimum wage if tips amount to the minimum wage that would have been earned by the employee.

It's a shitty way for companies to not pay their employees and expect customers to pay them.
