That's the thing. Ganefreak needs to up the bar because eventually if they ignore feedback long enough they will be hit with a disappointing release that doesnt sell gangbusters. At that point the IP will be given to a new studio and Ganefreak will be out of work and have a shit portfolio to get new work. These games sell because they are Pokemon games. Without the IP, Ganefreak will be up shits creek
I was the same, except I played a little at launch then apparently forgot about it. Recently I picked it back up and banged it out from the beginning. Fantastic game and a wonderfully detailed world. Really worth your time. Only took me 5.5 hours and that was with plenty of exploring but not getting 100%
It has been awhile but I think if you get a game over you have to start the current world over again. You don't go back to 1-1. Each castle is also a save point. And you get unlimited game overs.
Yeah, not trying to grind much these days. And as far as turn based...I'm going to be having that itch scratched by BG3 soon enough.
This makes me want to play a narrative pokemon game in a world where the pokemon aren't real, but you collect pokemon cards, battle friends in your neighborhood and in school, and where the battles are visualized like in this short. I think this could be a really interesting and fresh take on the genre.
My wife and I have beaten NSMBU multiple times at this point. She We love it! lol. I never got into Monster Hunter or Dragon Quest at all but I've always been intrigued. Going to check out Brotato soon.
Wasn't there an article a while ago about Nintendo having a 3 pronged approach to promoting their IPs. Games, Movies, and Theme Parks I think. I could be mistaken
"The companyās basic strategy initiatives include three main pillars: the dedicated video game platform business, the mobile business, and the IP expansion business. Each has a different purpose and scale, Furukawa said, but theyāre all considered critical to the company."
I'll leave this post for now, but please refrain from self-promotion as it falls under "Rule 3: No ads". Please refrain from self-promotion in this community.
Edit: in order to clarify this rule, I have added "no self-promotion" to Rule 3
That's right...I forgot about that. Do you know the share percentage?
