I feel like Minecraft surges in popularity pretty regularly. As long as people continue streaming it and posting videos of it I think that'll remain the same. I don't know if someone who is looking for a taste of what they saw online will know the limitations of Bedrock. They might just pick it up because it's available on whatever platform they use.
I suppose killing Java might put a stop to the content that is being created with Minecraft and that might cause it lose its relevance but I don't know if a majority of content creators are using Java or Bedrock.
Yeah what I was asking about is official support in Java; that's probably what OP is referencing. I looked it up and the answer is no.
It's a bit like saying Skyrim didn't have mod support in 2011 when it released until 2017 when Creation Club content was added. Of course there were mods in 2011 but not officially supported ones.
Edit: To be clear this comment was referencing what OP's post was likely trying to convey. Of course Minecraft has been moddable on Java for years but as the Minecraft help page says it isn't officially supported. I know about data packs and their support/limitations.
I know. I've seen a lot of videos on the differences between Java and Bedrock, how Bedrock came to be, modding on Java like Feed The Beast, and multiplayer servers like 2BT2 (for those that don't know FitMC has some good vidoes on 2B2T; it's a neat rabbit hole to go down if you want to kill sometime).
What I am saying is I am surprised that Microsoft is still updating Java when there's so much money to be made nickle and diming players in Bedrock edition. Like paying for skins for example. It would definitely piss off a lot of the player base but I don't know if it would cause them to lose money in the long run. I imagine a lot of casual players are content using Bedrock and unaware of why Java is important.
Thanks for the response! I think I'll probably give the news a go eventually. Do you recommend I watch a playthrough of two and three so I can fully understand the story?
That's a neat approach. I suppose I have seen it done to a lesser extent with YouTubers doing Mystery Science Theater style commentary now that I think about it.
I'm still playing the God of War collection for PS Vita. I am not a huge fan of the gameplay so I'm not sure if I will play the sequel. I'm wondering if the new God of War games play similarly.
In Wizard People, Dear Reader, Neely's writing ranges from simple childish mockery, to criticism of the acting and set design, to awkward metaphors, to over-dramatic philosophical speeches. Harry himself is repeatedly referred to as a god, references are made to the "stockpiles of nuclear-level energy" that are his powers, and so on. At one point, Harry calls himself a "beautiful animal" and a "destroyer of worlds". He also repeatedly affirms that he is "Harry fucking Potter". Numerous references are made to characters taking out unseen flasks or drinking alcohol, and Harry is mentioned as being "drunk every day before noon."
That is definitely an interesting one.
The CDs must be played simultaneously with a DVD of the first Harry Potter film, preferably the North American DVD, muted or at low volume.
I thought it was just going to be a mash up of clips. Can you really just replace the audio track with it?
I am indifferent towards audio quality and don’t mind missing out on a few Spotify-exclusive songs so if it is using YouTube MP3s that’s fine with me.
Is what it says in the text below my post. A lot of apps out there that download Spotify playlists pair songs with ones on Youtube to download them for simplicity. Similarly some people migrate those playlists to Deezer and download them.
From my understanding it comes down to Spotify's DRM being a little harder to bypass.
I feel the other way. I find the individual aspect of it annoying but like the corporate stuff. It gives them a chance to do some kind lighthearted joke that's occasionally in an unexpected direction. I don't even mind when companies jokingly tease a new product or feature to gauge public interest.
Probably getting a good work out in, eating a nice salad, getting high, and watching a good movie.
I would say sleeping in and doing nothing but I feel like I regret it afterwards and feel lethargic.
