I feel like "Comparison is the thief of joy" should only really be relevant if someone is comparing their work to the work of others in an effort to put themselves down. Saying a piece of art is entirely without some kind of inspiration is a tad narcissistic.
Comments like that don't have to mean the artist's work is unoriginal or entirely derived from something else. It can be a comparison to something else you've enjoyed or a mention of a niche that work might fit nicely in.
You see it with video games all the time. For example someone might comment on how Trepang2 reminds them of FEAR. It's a more concise way of describing it as an action FPS with horror elements. It's not meant to belittle Trepang2.
It makes sense. Adding Reddit to my online searches has been my "life hack" for years now. If only Reddit wasn't becoming annoying as fuck with things like their new UI, blocking third party apps, and finally blocking off VPN users.
I feel like it's fine. Think of it like Reddit in that regard. Lots of people have secondary accounts for different types of content. A lot of the time it's NSFW stuff but the same could be said for memes, politics, and personal stuff.
I think you would need to use either browser based profiles depending on which browser you use or a different frontend. If you are on mobile lots of apps can facilitate multiple accounts.
Not the previous commenter but I do the same thing and I find it makes me feel less foggy in the first couple hours of waking up and helps me want to eat breakfast.
I asked a similar question a month ago and it seems like reports go everywhere. I guess it makes sense when instances have different rules and communities might as well
