No, and neither are your eyes, but you can still see the world in 3D.
You can use normal cameras to create 3D images by placing two cameras next to each other and creating a stereogram. Alternatively, you can do this with just one camera by taking a photo, moving it slightly, and then taking another photo - exactly what cameras in a moving vehicle are doing all the time. Objects closer to the camera move differently than the background. If you have a billboard with a person on it, the background in that picture moves differently relative to the person than the background behind an actual person would.
You’re being paid a wage for the work you do, which is effectively the same as charging for your services. I also don’t understand why you think I can just charge my customers whatever I want. There’s a certain price range that plumbers in my area operate within, and if I set my prices higher than that, nobody will hire me.
It’s not like society is forcing you to be a wage slave either - you’re free to start your own business, just like everyone else.
A lidar alone can't do that. It'll just build a 3D point cloud. You still need software to detect the individual objects in there and that's easier said than done. So far Tesla seems to be achieving this just fine by using cameras alone. Human eyes can tell the difference between an actual person and a picture of a person too. I don't see how this is supposed to be somethin you can't do with just cameras.
What benefit would a lidar bring that they haven't already achieved with cameras and radar? The car not seeing where it's going is not exactly an issue they're having with FSD.
Life's too short to stay in a job you hate. Collect some fuck you money from your earnings and move on. You wont regret it - even if it means taking a pay cut.
Nobody in particular stands out, but a thought I had a while back is that Game of Thrones was one of the rare pieces of modern cinema with a host of great female characters who, for the most part, actually had to put in effort to earn their status rather than just being born with it.
Sex is quite a broad term but if what you're asking is 'what does it feel like to stick my dick into vagina' then go buy a fleshlight, run some warm water thru it, lube your dick and try it out. It's not exactly the same but it's pretty close.
My personal opinion? Overrated. That's what it feels like.
Of course I care whether the answer is correct. My point was that even when it’s not, it doesn’t really matter much because if it were critical, I wouldn’t be asking ChatGPT in the first place. More often than not, the answer it gives me is correct. The occasional hallucination is a price I’m willing to pay for the huge convenience of having something like ChatGPT to quickly bounce ideas off of and ask about stuff.
LLMs have their flaws but for my use it's usually good enough. It's rarely mission critical information that I'm looking for. It satisfies my thirst for an answer and even if it's wrong I'm probably going to forget it in a few hours anyway. If it's something important I'll start with chatGPT and then fact check it by looking up the information myself.
Fair point. That indeed I can do.
