Individuals have the power to block instances so I don't really understand why people are pushing for defederation. Just feels like ruining the fun for everyone just because they aren't having fun and aren't using the resources they have to make it fun. Defederation should be a last resort, and people seem to want to use it for petty squabbles. I don't like .ml or hexbear cause they're both tankies, but I'll just block the instances myself. Everything the far-right uses is stolen. Libertarian used to be synonymous with anarchist till they stole it. Hell they even went after anarchism directly when the invented the walking contraduction "anarcho-capitalism." Every neo-nazi symbol is some cultural symbol they stole. Then almost everything on Lemmy should be NSFW cause you shouldn't be on your social media at work. Quit taking definitions like they're gospel and use it the way people actually mean it. NSFW is pretty much reserved for porn, extreme violence, or disturbing imagery (like gore).

Antifa isn't an organization. Yeah back in Nazi Germany it was, but nowadays its just a movement. There is no organization, any group or person can take up the movement, symbolism, etc of antifascist action (antifa). It is genuinely a situation of if someone is "anti-antifa" then they are either stupid or a fascist.
