  • Self determination and liberation of groups like the Hawaiians, Puerto Ricans, Native Americans, and other overseas colonies is a must, but full balkanization would be an untold disaster. It would make the regional conflicts in the Balkans after the fall of Yugoslavia look like "Babies First Genocide".

A reintegration and reorganization of the current territory into a Soyuz system similar to how the Soviet Union came together after the fall of the Russian Empire seems like it would be significantly more successful in the long term with comparably less bloodshed.

  • That kid is going to be so extremely traumatized and maladapted by the time he's even 12. I can't even begin to comprehend the psychological effects that this level of exploitation at such a young age would bring. It does seem like all harmless family friendly fun, but I doubt the scene when the camera isn't rolling is very healthy. This kid is getting used by a prop by his caretakers to essentially print money.

I just hope that he might at least see a small portion of what he's earned so that he can recover well and not be to impacted by this further down in his future.

  • Fun fact, field mice are celebrated as the “smallest heroes of the Soviet Union”, as during the Stalingrad campaign, German forces were utterly unable to respond to the Soviet pincer as the 22nd panzer division, and Romanian 2nd armoured division that were deployed to secure the rear and flanks of Army Group South had all the electrical wiring, insulation, and leather ammunition belts in all of the tanks eaten through as they stood in reserve. Rendering the entire panzer division useless and ultimately destroyed as the tanks had to be abandoned.

  • Even worse, the helicopter actually crashed directly into the kindergarten as the pilot lost control attempting to avoid a high rise apartment building.

  • Humans love cats, we have for thousands of years. The Egyptians will tell you that.

Cats are cute, cats are funny, cats do dumb things, cats are extremely smart, cats make people smile.

    Cats unite humanity.

(Except if you have allergies, but those people are acceptable losses)

  • TenCent is "too big to fail", if the US were to sanction them, a massive portion of the American entertainment sphere would collapse. It would be economic, and political suicide for nothing but propaganda points.

  • Basically.

The land is owned by the city, and developers bribe officials into paying their companies massive contracts to build the buildings on that city owned land, and once they’re done they quickly hightail it out of there with the hundreds of millions they’ve just swindled off of the city. Then the burden of the building falls back on the city, as it’s technically not the building companies fault that the building became useless and has no buyers.

  • The city is forced to shoulder the cost, which comes from taxes of course. So large developers promise the world to the city and sell them the idea of how massively beneficial said skyscraper will be with business taxes, commuters which boost the economy, increased housing needed for workers, and so on.

Very few of these promises ever come true, and many skyscrapers are decades old at this point as local and state governments keep making the same “mistake” over and over again.

This is on purpose of course, as those land developers pay off officials, politicians, and land owners in order to receive contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars, with little regard to the long term repercussions of what they are doing.

  • “What do you mean?! It’s such beautiful architecture and a good use of resources!” 🤡

  • No, empty skyscrapers are pretty much the norm. You might get one rented out floor here and there, but it’s mostly all fake. For example, even the famous Empire State Building in New York was almost completely deserted until it accidentally got famous with the release of King Kong. Most other skyscrapers aren’t that lucky.

But what if I told you in LA and many other Southwestern cities, there are entire fake buildings in the middle of the city, built around oil pump jacks because they are considered unsightly. With no care about the space their take up, the environmental damage they do, or the use of the land besides oil.

  • Most American skyscrapers are completely empty beyond the first 2 floors since few companies can even afford the rent on them. They’re all for show.

  • The cost of everything related to guns is becoming increasingly prohibitive, with for example a single small box of ammunition costing up to a whole weeks worth of groceries. Along with that, all places to learn/practice skills are infested and crawling with these same types of right-wing delusional terrorists. I also don't know if I'd trust myself to own a weapon such as a gun due to my mental health, despite how much I might like to own one.

  • Another attack submarine??? So soon after the utter disaster that the Seawolf Class was? Well if anything a project like that is a good way to burn tens of billions without doing a single second of work.

Also what happened to the Zumwalt class destroyer? Guess the Navy’s ugly little disaster is already on the chopping block before even having the first mainline ship laid down. To bad the project only costed 50 billion dollars of vanished money.

  • Medicine in general would be impossible. How would anarchists ever expect to produce a multitude of life saving medicines that require million dollar lab equipment in massive laboratory complexes. All manned by doctors and specialists that require decades of education and training, that control processes where even a single wayward mistake can be lethal to tens of thousands of people.

This isn't even considering new medicines. How would you ever develop, test, and perfect new treatments without massive governing bodies? Like is a random guy named Joe supposed to cook up a cure for pancreatic cancer in his basement with a middle school science lab kit?

  • My family background is Belarussian, and guests must have a full 3 course dinner, bread, tea, a lot of sweets to go with the tea, some fresh fruit, and 5 large Tupperware containers of extra dinner. If they do not go through this process they will be bared from leaving the house. I have also never left a Portuguese friends house without their Avó using an excavator to shovel food into my mouth.

It has been drilled into me from birth that I should never EVER eat or drink anything in front of friends, or houseguests without offering them some lmao. I don't understand how people, especially well off people, can religiously guard food. Even when I am starving and have 10 dollars worth of food to make it through the week, I can't imagine not sharing or offering anything to a guest or friend, it just seems so rude and selfish.

  • Go into any culture that isn't American or Western European; East Asian, Eastern European, Middle Eastern, African, Latin American, Caribbean, literally anywhere in the world, and you will find people cooking whole feasts because there is a possibility of an acquaintance dropping by for 5 minutes.

Imagine understanding the concept of hospitality.

  • Westerners: "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! The uncivilized savages aren't allowed to use our own colonial tactics against us😭😭😭😭 Only us, ("The Civilized World") can use those tactics!!!!!!!!😭😭😭😭"

  • While this might be a awful metaphor, many Americans and Westerners blame China for the Opioid Crisis in the West, and claim its all China's fault and done on purpose by the Chinese government....

    Critical Thinking = 0

  • Education is still vital, we will need comrades of all practices and disciplines to help rebuild once the dust settles. Even Lenin, Stalin, Marx, Engels, Mao, Castro, Min, and almost every other socialist leader were formally educated in a capitalist system they later overthrew.

  • In the same news broadcast they "interviewed" a random Cuban on the streets that was part of the "protests", and they "translated" him as saying that the government was evil and must be overthrown, that Fidel was a monster, etc....

The man was Miguel Diaz-Canel..... The president of Cuba and the head of the Communist Party....
