  • You can get "milk" designed for cats, I bought some in the supermarket but ours was never interested. I should have asked his foster mum which brand she got him as he liked that one, but I never paid attention to the label on the carton she gave us. Oh well, it's been years now and he's fine without.

  • We wanted them to take the boring jobs so we could devote our time to art and leisure, but instead they're creating art and we're still stuck in the boring jobs with no time or money for leisure. 😭

  • When I was a kid, I've asked for a specific toy before. I think you can, or could, even buy them separately without purchasing a meal.

  • This is so amusing to me, because I had no idea who this Linus was - I was only somewhat familiar with Linus Torvald of Linux fame. I looked up last night just to check that the old Linux nerd wasn't running around stealing water coolers and such.

Extra funny to see a comment the next morning that this Linus knows zero about Linux.

  • I keep thinking of the monoblock as the monolith from 2001. But with water cooling tubes sticking out of it.

I don't want to look it up because I like the picture in my imagination.

  • Lump sat alone in a boggy marsh
Totally emotionless except for her heart
Mud flowed up into lump's pajamas
She totally confused all the passing piranhas

    She's lump, she's lump
    She's in my head
    She's lump, she's lump, she's lump
    She might be dead

  • Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

  • I'm so confused, I literally thought that the "what goes where" section headers were around the wrong way.

I also agree with your point about not being too strict when we're wanting the community to grow.

  • Great work, thank you!

I have noticed that the new "undo" hide post is flakey - either it doesn't show, or more often, it won't go away even when jumping from Frontpage into a post's comment section.

    "Refreshed" is also lingering around.

Otherwise, excellent job, keep it up!

  • I have seen too many pictures of literal poop eaters that I'm scared to look at Lemmy alone, let alone around family. 😭 Stop the poop!

ETA: ok it was maybe two pics and only in the first few weeks of the reddit migration, but I'm still scarred.

  • I was so ready to drop $10-15 AUD without a thought, but at $25, I'm sticking with Connect.

  • I have poor spatial awareness and learning to drive later in life - plus still getting to know my car. With a long, low nose, these bumpers are so handy, particularly the lower ones and/or made of rubber, so I don't scrape my car's poor snout!

  • The little pink nose! 😭 The feets!

  • Hey, you are the dev! Thanks, dev! 😍 Saw your comment in another Connect appreciation thread.

Also, most images are opening in app, but I have seen a couple open in browser - can't remember which image hosting sites sorry.

  • We got a Brother laser as well. Only print a few times a year, and the toner is always good to go when it does get switched on. Love my Brother!

  • Ok I could swear it was also opening images in the browser as well, but that seems to have been fixed. Maybe it's just certain images.

Yay, thanks devs! (Assuming it was changed/fixed!)

  • Ooh, can I provide some feedback as well?

It would be great to open websites in an external browser, but open images in the app.

Sync provides this, but I'm looking for reasons to choose Connect as my app, and this is a big one for me.

  • You can switch to use the external browser in the app settings, however, at time it affects everything - including images. Once that's fixed, I'll probably move back from Sync to Connect!

  • I give a shit, I do what I can to not make things worse and improve where I can. I don't think I'm morally superior in any way, shape or form - quite the opposite; there are many greater, smarter people out there who could do a much better job at improving the future than I can hope to. I have many, many reasons for not having children - this is just one. Yes, I'm a coward. No, I don't judge others for having children - everyone has a choice, and I've made mine. No, I don't hope for annihilation - I hope that somehow, this freight train with no brakes manages to make a turn without derailing, and that the future is glorious and beautiful and healthy. While I may be a sad, pathetic little creature, I do like seeing the kids of friends and family grow and thrive, I just worry what is in store for them and their children.
