  • I mean, yeah America's rightward spiral is depressing, especially if you live there. But it's not exactly an American-exclusive phenomenon. Italy elected a far-right party, France might in their next Presidential election, and even Germany's far-right party is surging in the polls. Honestly, I'm struggling to think of a country that hasn't seen a massive rightward surge over the last few years.

  • Just finished Cult of the Lamb, but might have to pick it up for this. The survival mechanics sound interesting and it seems like they mesh well with the base game. Also, the crown having its own little tent when you sleep is a nice touch.

  • I am morbidly curious about how this movie will turn out. Will they try and make it a family-friendly adventure movie influenced by the first game? Or base it on the sequels, which tried to make everything darker and edgier? Also, why? Like, I would love it if there was a resurgence of interest in Jak & Daxter, but of all the IPs Sony wanted to adapt for film they chose one that hasn't had a game released since 2009?

  • I have my Steam Library organized by genre. FPS, RPG, RTS, ect. Then I have a backlog category where I put the games I know I want to get around to playing eventually and a Completed category for games that I've finished and am probably not going to go back to.

  • Xitter? Are people not just continuing to call it Twitter? Maybe if it ever becomes the everything app Musk wants it to be it will be distinct enough to justify a rebrand, but for right now it's just Twitter with the name filed off.

  • It sounds like a dumb idea, but I kind of see where he's coming from at least that it would be easier for developers. Admittedly consoles today are a lot closer in specs than they use to be, but you still have issues crop up like Larian Studios having to delay BG3 for Series X because they have to get split-screen working on Series S before it can launch. So I can see the appeal of only having to develop games on one console. But I don't really see the benefit to players, since whoever made the one console would have a monopoly on the market.

  • I mean I don't think the pirates needed their permission, but it's a nice gesture at least. Accepting the reality that people will pirate your games makes for much better PR than trying to crack down on it through DRM.

  • Honestly, given that it's EA I'm surprised the servers for the PS3/360 games weren't shut down years ago. Seems like the sort of thing they would have done in the middle of the PS4/Xbox One generation. Also surprised that Dante's Inferno had a PSP release and that it had online features.

  • Some might say it's too early to put the Halloween stuff out, but I say we need all the time we can get. If it weren't for Halloween the stores would start playing Mariah Carey as soon as the back-to-school sales ended.

  • It's (Probably) Not Aliens-Podcast debunking Ancient Aliens on the History Channel.

The Magnus Archives- Horror podcast about an institute that investigates paranormal activity.

    Knifepoint Horror-Horror anthology podcast.

Sonic the Comic the Podcast- A podcast reviewing the British Sonic the Hedgehog comic issue by issue. An interesting look back at 90s nostalgia, even if you aren't British.
