Just burn the ISO to a USB drive with Rufus, a window full of options with check boxes will pop up, with a lot of options to turn installation bullshit.

Fingers crossed for Tidal, since its made by a bunch of musicians, I think Jay Z is the big one. They actually pay the artists a decent amount, and lowered MOST everyone's price and upgraded the their quality, so taking a big hit of hopium they're good enough to not go to shit.

As an audiophile it's like, way less exhausting to just go with Tidal, over pirating good quality music. Especially if you're like me and listen to nearly anything and everything.

Tell that to Google before they replaced the long standing head of its search engine, with the head of advertising.

This reminds me of the old gpt2 and 3 subreddits, before this "AI" boom, and no one had ever heard of GPT. Every subreddit was condensed to a single user, with the GPT trained on only that sub. So you'd have things like TIL-GPT makes a post in the GPT3 subreddit: "TIL you can...." and a full comment section from from GPT users like Movies-GPT, WorldNews-GPT, PCMasterRace-GPT, etc.

Reading through them had the chance to be wild. When the posts would make just barely enough sense, but random enough to be unhinged.

I don't know how much was automated, or if people would toggle runs of X amount of new posts, or what. But eventually people made subreddits for posting screenshots of the best GPT's talking to each other.

You could always see patterns and then go to the real sub, and see how accurate they were. GPTs from gaming subreddits unironically posting circlejerks, from conservative subs being lowkey racist, etc.

If you share your water or electricity with a neighbor, I think they can cut you off and/or fine you. Probably dependent on the state?

Then you should be fine to install W11. I'm on AM4 x570 and I can install W11. Secure Boot and fTPM are both on, and you can disable the requirement to need either.

Look up TPUs, like a coral tensor. Extremely efficient at machine learning, only, and cheap. If NPUs use anything like a TPU, then it absolutely can do local "AI." Then once the heavy lifting is done, then I'd imagine all that data is uploaded.

Unless you built with like, really old parts, I'm not sure how this would be a problem?

Check out Windows Xlite, they have 10 and 11. Their install iso's are stripped of all Microsoft's bullshit.

To me, this reads like it implies that government and govt programs are bad because of the govt employees, but if you were to take those same "corrupt" politicians and put them to work at private companies that they would stop being "corrupt." Like it is a belief/reaction to one specific bad instance of a large government/program. "The government sucks at program X, so if we get rid of that program, the same general population will gain empathy, morals and efficiency if working for a company to run program X."

That runs on chromium, which in Linux is HARD locked to 48000, so every single song will be resampled.

Tidal on Linux is a crap shoot, which sucks because pipewire is awesome for HiRes music since it can change sample rate on the fly to match a source. Best bet is Firefox and their web player, and using the middle tier "high" that's blue colored, and letting pipewire play @ 44100

Check out Windows XLite. Its a highly customized iso that gets rid of all the bullshit. No automatic updates (they're provided as cumulative installers), no windows defender, no edge, no cortana, no store, no Xbox, etc. Those things are all stil available, too. Also, all the telemetry is disabled from registry and gpolicy, and since no auto updates, they won't mess with those entries to "uh oh we turned on our spying again, and didn't tell you."

Its a massive breath of fresh air, feels like going back to XP and 7, when your fresh install has nothing at all. Not even dot.net and vcredist, which are also available.

Looks really sleek with the new floating panels, and being able to turn a panel into an icon task manger is still nice, and the new overview window is great for workflow.

However multi monitor support is still garbage. Like 3/4 of programs will never remember their size and position, so you have to make a never ending list of kwin window rules, which then end up affecting other windows you don't want to. Other things like right click menus will show up on the wrong monitor way off in a corner get old real fast. Its like the cartoon spiderman meme of 3 Spiderman's pointing at each other. Qt6, Wayland, and kwin all pointing the blame of why its like the way it is, while bug reports rack up another year of no fixes.

HDR having a toggle and working is really nice, but when it was on and I booted up a game, the in game options wouldn't allow me to turn on HDR.

I agree, but I think it would be better if they got their own queue, unknown to them. Game detects in the last 5 ranked matches you didn't use a mic at all? You get the no mic queue. Everyone who wants to be silent can play amongst themselves.

What's wild to me is they're making their own overlay for their PC games. Ghost of Tsushima is supposed to be the first release title with it. Do they not understand steam already has an overlay? I feel like 2 overlays would just compete and be obnoxious and possibly ever impact performance.

Also, why? If it is for co-op crossplay, just make linking PSN to Steam optional, and state it is needed for inviting/grouping with any PS5 friends. Then do what every other multiplatform game does and show 2 friends list in the game.

Steam only removes games from the store, and doesn't remove games from anyone's library. Those affected people, if they didn't refund, will still have HD2 in their library. There is also never install restrictions/blocking.
