  • I followed the instructions and opted out yet I'm still seeing what my users watched along with getting emails listing the same. I'm certain none of my users are interested in this and likely skipped through the pop-up without reading/comprehending it.

  • Yep. He references issues both in the past and present that tie directly into this film they're promoting, yet they censored all this out while pretending like they give a shit about these causes because they put it into a for-profit movie they created.

  • What drives me bonkers about all this is that Peter Thiel, a prominent right-wing figure, was doing exactly what all those QAnon nutjobs were accusing people like Clinton of doing, yet they never acknowledge this and instead focus on stupid shit like a pizza parlor with a nonexistent basement.

  • The market isn't rapidly moving away from them, though, as they're some of the most popular vehicles on the road. Currently, EVs only make up a single digit percentage of new cars sold in the US and the infrastructure isn't there to support mass adoption yet.

By all accounts, the BZ4x is a piece of crap and I suspect it's little more than a light test-bed and compliance car similar to the HHR and PT Cruiser in their day. Toyota developed it with Subaru so they could split the cost and have something in the segment even if it's underwhelming. They're likely waiting for other manufacturers to iron out all the EV kinks along with further developing their battery tech before committing to any real design. Being conservative in their designs is what they've done for decades and has served them well thus far.

  • Yep sounds similar to what's happening here. Since the car was first released you could spec one out with Limited RWD on Hyundai's site but none existed in the entire country up until the last few months when they began trickling out. The website tells you that you can't actually order or build the car you want and instead must visit a dealer and choose something among their inventory. I'm sorry but I'm not going to compromise on a major purchase like this for a brand new vehicle. Dealerships can eat a dick.

  • This is such an absurd take about Toyota, who has been putting some of the most reliable and fuel efficient vehicles on the road for decades. Just because they haven't jumped all in into an emerging market doesn't mean they secretly want to build a bunch of gas guzzlers and keep people hooked on gasoline.

This battery tech has the potential to revolutionize anything containing a battery just like lithium ion batteries did when we were still stuffing D-cell batteries into everything. It's a worthy endeavor and all these comparisons to failed gimmicks from other industries are BS.

  • Also don't open the door for police. I've seen numerous encounters where they'll block the door and refuse to let you close it. Once you try to close it or a gentle breeze comes by an pushes the door into their foot, they'll violently throw you to the ground, taze you, and then charge you with assaulting a police officer.

  • I've been eyeing an Ioniq 5 for about 18 months now and just checked local pricing again and they haven't budged an inch on pricing (even now with 2024 models being sold with 2023 models left on the lot) nor are they even carrying inventory outside of the most expensive trim packages of Limited AWD. I'm interested in range, so I'm wanting a Limited RWD but they aren't being stocked.

This article screams "I'm not doing my job and it's all your fault!"

  • The last time I went to Olive Garden my raviolis were clearly microwaved as the food was hot but the shells were rock hard without looking overcooked in any way. It's all garbage corporate food with a facade of being 'fancy' because they have some Italian decor on the walls.
