You say that but I think that every time this has happened, Nexus has improved in both its standards and clarity on these situations.
And I agree, I’m fine with people making the mods, but they should already know to take them elsewhere. I don’t care if it becomes more popular or less popular or more known. I hope it stays known that Nexus won’t tolerate mods that harm their community. And they are perfect, but props for that.
Yeah I mean I’m fine with trump locking up his political opponents for no reason, I just don’t want to hear him talk about it on tv. I also really don’t understand democratic voters that care more about democracy than gas prices or inflation. Were you people not paying attention when he cut our nursing home population in half?
I’ll admit, I had this thought earlier about why do they even need our money? I haven’t heard of them fighting much of anyone since the first week of this. Mostly leveling the entirety of Gaza so that they can take it over. So the US is not only paying for genocide, we’re also paying for a construction project basically.
Maybe someone who knows can chime in but what is the money for? Is it for more weapons similar to Ukraine? Are we trying to profit off of a genocide?
It’s sad that I knew what you meant before reading your edit. Like we all know that this next election will result in violence. We can all only hope that it’s against the right people..
The only reasons (afaik) to have the refresh rate be higher than a locked FPS is to change the timing slightly. But frame times should be the same and the game should look better when the refresh rate is lower. Especially because 25 frames on a 50hz display means 1 duplicate frame per frame as opposed to 2 or so.
The tools used to make these images can largely be ignored, as can the vast majority of what AI creates of people. Fake nudes and photos have been possible for a long time now. The biggest way we deal with them is to go after large distributors of that content.
When it comes to younger people, the penalty should be pretty heavy for doing this. But it’s the same as distributing real images of people. Photos that you don’t own. I don’t see how this is any different or how we treat it any differently than that.
I agree with your defamation point. People in general and even young people should be able to go after bullies or these image distributors for damages.
I think this is a giant mess that is going to upturn a lot of what we think about society but the answer isn’t to ban the tools or to make it illegal to use the tools however you want. The solution is the same as the ones we’ve created, just with more sensitivity.
You might consider turning comments like this into posts in this community in the future. You didn’t do anything wrong, but I think people would engage with you more and be interested in having a separate thread to discuss this in.
If you’re looking for the modern version of this, Planet Coaster is a decent experience for those that enjoy RCT2. I’d recommend it if you can get it discounted. It’s better in a lot of ways when building coasters but doesn’t have the staying power that RCT2 has. Might give it a try though.
Hell, they were mostly meaningless for the last few major elections. If I remember right, they predicted Hillary would win for months before the election. Then when Biden ran against Trump, they were inconclusive and changed week by week so were again useless. Definitely didn’t predict what we got there. Same thing with the recent midterm election. They got issue 1 in Ohio right but it seems they can only predict minor landslides at best at the moment.
A DIY chain is the ad I’m most unlikely to see. The only ads I see are usually the same 5 auto makers advertising the same bland cars on a cliff or in a desert. The vast vast majority of ads don’t work and waste everyone’s time for a small bump in sales and recognition. Especially since the variety of the US market is dominated by so few billion dollar businesses. Like Walmart still advertises. Walmart. The company that owns like 40% of grocery sales in the US and can’t pay their workers a living wage. They’ll gladly stop you from watching your shows though because their marketing department needs a salary.
It’s not about if Vegas likes it. Because Vegas is one of the worst cities for transportation in the US. The main strip is a disaster. Walking as a pedestrian is dangerous and insanely confusing. The trains are underfunded and misplaced. Buses get stuck behind billboard cars in traffic.
And instead of funding train or bus development, Vegas spent wild money to get the loop built. The loop is a safety hazard, it holds very few people, and it achieves far less than what a good subway system could do.
Basically Elon may have made money, but the world mostly lost.
“No officer, you don’t understand! I offered her a large grant for her to do research. Not research for me, it’s for the high schoolers! How else are they supposed to learn proper technique? Jail? For what? Providing a proper education?!”
Shout out to all of the other bisexual and GNC men who wouldn’t think of dating a republican woman to avoid the homophobia and scrutiny of their masculinity.
I think a lot of this has to do with the fact that people are work. So we sit here working 50-60 hour work weeks with one week of PTO and barely enough money to pay for groceries and rent and guess what happens? People get depressed. Discouraged. Exhausted. Sick. Poor. Whatever. The absolute last thing I want to do is have someone tell me about my star sign on tinder and then get stuck in a relationship.
And as a young person, I feel like the older generation doesn’t get it at all. They didn’t have to meticulously plan their future. They could accidentally have a kid at 18 and still buy a house at 23. They aren’t emotionally compatible with their partners most of the time. They just did what was expected of them pretty much.
