  • I have a couple of original Nintendos (NES) lying around. Including the one from when I was kids, missing its door because my sibling would toss controllers at it when they lost.

    Those controllers are solid.

Also a few dozen cartridges to go with it. Nothing of value as far as I know but future family heirlooms.

  • The dilemma being that anyone who acts this way probably shouldn't own guns.

Placing gun ownership over all other personal freedoms is an unhealthy obsession.

People who think they need weapons in case are not so different than those who think the rapture will occur in their lifetime.

  • Fear of missing out is driving this entire market segment.

No one is sure what they might miss out on but that's not going to stop the fear of investors.

Real estate's gone to shit so they need to find some new place to move their money.

  • No. That's just something you made up.

"Industrializing nations" are easier to address than the nations that have already industrialized.

The momentum behind existing industry is huge. Like a coal industry that is difficult to dismantle because of regressive political leaders.

For countries with no existing infrastructure it's cheaper to go green than not.

Capitalists demand a return on their polluting industrial investments annd are the majority of the problem.

If an auto manufacturers started from zero today, they wouldn't be creating gasoline engines.

Zero emission aircraft are next but that doesn't mean the airlines are going to scrap all their existing aircraft engines and the pollution they cause.

  • 1% of the world's population is 80,000,000 people.

There is too much variance in a population that large to make any reasonable statements or suggest adjustments.

We already know that people living on pennies per day aren't the problem.

  • Claiming I'm slinging shit is a real dramatic take on this.

I do enjoy the pile on of ignorants fighting for their right to speak when no one said otherwise.

It's really cute of easily you all feel victimized by this conversation.

I note that at no point, none you have disputed that you're ignorant.

I don't give any fucks if you post insipid comments. I haven't even downvoted any of it (I cannot expect the same from you.) I have merely pointed out that some people might rightfully see it as noise and of course you have to double down on the noise because you people think loud and obnoxious is winning.
