You're gonna make it really difficult to jump on Boost for Lemmy when it comes out. Maybe I'll use both apps, or use Voyager on a specific device and Boost on another. 🤷♂️ I have been impressed from the get-go at how ready wefwef/Voyager has been since migrating from reddit. Not a fan of iOS, so I'm interested in having the in-app switch to change OS 'themes' in the web app framework you use!
Thank you for all your hard work and effort you have put into this app!
I think silver-haired white guy has been on-brand for professional autocue readers though. That is changing a little bit, but I think it's the majority - at least until the grandfathered contracts run out (the likes of Huw, Eamonn Holmes etc) and the Beeb, Sky and ITV diversify. I don't watch too much rolling news but I think the BBC at least are already doing this with their news output.
Yeah, he may get turfed out then, like Clarkson did. Funny thing is I don't think Amazon prime video have a news outfit at the moment. Maybe a times radio online-exclusive podcast. That would be unfortunate. I'm forseeing a real 'rise and fall of' situation here.
If that happens, then give it a year and he'll take up Jon Snow's position as head anchor of Channel 4 News. Not sure if Krishnan Guru-Murthy ever got Un-suspended for his on air comments, I'm a bit out of the loop.
That's just it. Nothing unlawful seems to have occurred at this stage. Maybe he got a bit of Clarkson syndrome about his power and money, that remains to be seen.
But if this all fizzles out and he's able to professionally (and mentally) recover from it, I'd be happy to see/hear him orrsentythr present the news again (edit: keyboard went a bit psuedo-Welsh there ironically...) , when and if he is ready. It'd be like when Stephen Fry went missing and the nation was concerned for his wellbeing and return to public life.
Now it's just a sad story about personal lives being made public. At least the 'young person' is not in the public eye at the moment.
One more point on Bitwarden - when the top password managers were being hacked/exploited, Bitwarden was keen to fix what appeared to be vulnerabilities in an extremely timely manner. I don't remember where I read the article but it still fared best out of all the other managers out there.
Yes, I have noticed tin particular he "animé grunt" where even a silent expression or a gasp would do.
