Yeah, but there are non mosquito things that fill that role as well, so it's not unique to mosquitoes.
Also, the existence of mosquitos may be preventing another non-mosquito insect from filling its space in the ecosystem.
So not only are the "benefits" of mosquitoes redundant, they add far more negative than positive.
Mosquitoes suck, but aren't entirely without value - that being said their only value isn't unique to mosquitoes which negates nearly all of their value. But they're still more valuable than Karen's so it continues to be a losing argument
Even if you have been greatly wronged by everyone you trust, that doesn't necessarily mean you were ever even around trustworthy people. So personal experience may feel like the only reality or truth but once you realize that it's only true specifically for you and only up to this point, you might be able to understand its not a universal rule or experience.
There's so much to experience beyond pain, loneliness, distrust and suffering (outside of incurable medical pain)
It does exist and it is available to you, but when anyone has their trust destroyed beyond repair multiple times it will take work to let the pain go and look inward and forward to get what you want out of life.
For all I know, you're the asshole in everyone else's life and you blame them for breaking your trust - or you are a complete victim who has been taken advantage of every step of the way and it's impossible to conceive of a person existing who isn't working every angle to take advantage of you.
You do have agency and you can control how you think and feel about most things. It sounds like you are convinced that life only exists in a single, permanent, unchangeable state - and if you don't attempt any change in this perspective it will become a self fulfilling prophecy.
But once you realize the control you can exert over these thoughts and perspectives you'll hopefully realize that despite other people, when you're an adult life is what you make of it, not what it makes of you.
It does take monumental, constant effort. Especially compared to how easy it is to give up/admit defeat/believe things are permanent and unchangeable. Doubly so if that's the mental state you're already in.
Therapy can give you the tools to climb the mountain, but it's not gonna move your arms and legs up the mountain for you.
I mean, you don't have to accept the current state of the world as good or natural because of therapy But you'd probably have to accept the state of the world is currently happening and that should be accepted because, well, it is, regardless of good or bad.
Honestly, the world seems like it's always been a brutal place. Nature is fucked and most things die being eaten alive. With all it's flaws, society is still far better than the jungle.
The goal of therapy is not really to convince you society is our only real choice and therefore it's good. A therapist would probably be able to suggest healthy ways you can participate in your community that gives your energy against the corruption of society a positive outlet that can help you participate in making a difference, instead of feeling helpless or engaging in potentially negative thought and behaviour spirals.
Give it a try homie, talking things out with a professional can give you perspective of your own opinions and how they are formed, and how to process them in a way that is helpfu to you specificallyl.
It sounds like maybe you don't want to accept something that might suggest your opinions or beliefs on society may not be 100% correct, or that someone trying to shift your perspective is a personal attack or judgement or manipulation - which doesn't sound healthy.
Therapy isn't some trick, it should help you understand and accept your own limits as a human, healthy boundaries with others, how to begin trusting people or how to identify those who are more likely to be trustworthy, and give you better understanding of your own agency and how to let go of things that are beyond your control, or individual abilities to influence/change.
No amount of therapy with teams of the world's greatest therapists will matter if you don't want to understand and grow into a better version of yourself though!

This is more of a dumb opinion than an unpopular one, but it's also very unpopular.
"without fire, we wouldn't know what hot is"
"without cancer, we wouldn't realize how great being cancer free was"
"without Nazis, we wouldn't realize how shitty Nazis are"
"without wage slavery, we wouldn't realize how great pulling up our bootstraps is"
Swing and a miss my guy, swing and a miss.
Pretty sure this time Cartels doing their thing and killing anyone in their way
One of the greatest money saving tips we got up here in Canada is that cancelling Disney plus ($12/month plus taxes) would help struggling families deal with inflation and make ends meet.
Thanks chrystia freeland, you out of touch ghoul. That $12 a month will surely overcome the several hundred dollars a month increase in costs to food, shelter, and gasoline/heat since 2019.
To be non partisan, the federal leader of the opposition also suggested Canada could opt out of inflation by embracing bitcoin, right before it Collapsed 60%
As you can see, the people in charge up here have nothing but the best, most well thought out advice for the average Canadian and those bootstraps will be pulled up any day now.
How did you take any of my comment as anti vaccine or public health guidance??
You picked up on obvious sarcasm (hyperbole?) and got mega triggered and somehow didn't glean anything else from my original comment.
In case you missed it, a single person taking the absolute maximum amount of caution isn't going to offer 100% protection.
Get vaccinated, don't go out if your sick, wash your hands and don't be a dick. Good for pandemics, and regular life.
Not that hard, but clearly it's far too much for some people. Which is why all the precaution in the world (and bleach) won't beat out something like Covid as these precautions did for less contagious pandemics that were eventually (mostly) wiped out.
Yeah, but at least it's not government run media /s
I'm in Canada and I find the reporting of CBC and TVO to be fairly good - and I can only imagine the news landscape when all news is 100% privately corpo owned
Not to say either are beyond reproach when it comes to powerful special interests, but that only goes to show that monopolies are terrible and have unreasonable leverage and not some nihilistic comment on the nature of man or whatever.
Dude, idk how your original comment reads as joining in on the joke, maybe my reading comprehension sucks but all I'm seeing is condescending and sarcasm
I'm not saying that I love catching Covid because I can't help but ignore public health guidance - it's because I'll be the only one to catch it out of a group of people every. Damn. Time.
I'm also not trying to get people sick, I work entirely remote and really only see friends and family - but won't go anywhere socially if I'm sick with anything.
At the end of the day, you could live in an antiviral bubble filled with bleach but some random person could cough or touch something they interacted with and make your grandparents sick.
All you and your grandparents can really do is take precautions, and enjoy your loved ones.
Also, I'd say your comment is pretty disingenuous and condescending, it assumes the only way to not kill your grandparents is by getting vaccinated.
Unless they live in a vault, they're gonna be exposed to everything life can throw at them. If you're healthy, but still worried about being asymptotic you can take Covid tests, or if you're their only caretaker you can wrap yourself up hazmat style, it's not like everyone working at a hospital died to Covid exposure, or made 100% of everyone they interacted with sick.
I'm definitely pro vaccine, but it's not some magic security blanket - It's a risk mitigation tool at best
Honestly, I don't particularly care unless it's causing healthcare collapse - at which point people are more likely to vaccinate anyhow.
I personally vaccinate because apparently I love catching Covid. If the vaccine gives me mild symptoms over a short period, sign me up every winter.
This thing has gone from contagious, to super contagious, to super mega ultra contagious, to who knows what next.
People get sick all the time and we're never going to "beat" Covid unless a perfect, permanent vaccine comes out and everyone else dies.
This is an unrealistic and unachievable endgame, so who cares if people want to live without Covid vaccines (again, unless it's causing healthcare collapse).
Great work detective, you'll make captain with this case closed.
There's the inconvenient fact that housing is way more provincial and municipal than federal. The feds can't (and shouldn't) be able to tell a town/city what they can or can't do as per the rules of our democracy.
That being said, the Feds should be building their own public/rent geared to income housing.
One of the biggest hurdles is NIMBY voters who alway turn up and vote against density and constantly jam the system regardless of need - and those who need affordable housing generally don't show up to vote.
If the feds build their own housing, or blast provincial/local governments who are preventing the proliferation of Federally funded housing the narrative should hopefully flip.
Currently its the spider-man meme of feds, premiers, and municipal governments pointing at each other as the source of housing inequality - and all of them are correct. But it's lack of public understanding that allows the inaction to continue.
This isn't something that needs to be profitable, it's fulfilling the basic role of government working for the people and giving them value.
This would also put pressure on developers collectively refusing to build due to costs. If you're not developing, the land moves to the feds to be developed instead.
Some things need to exist outside of profit seeking.
This article is wild. Sounds like they discharged him after a day, and the parents say they're glad they're taking him home in the front seat instead of in a box.
List of injuries:
9 broken vertebrae
Collapsed lung
Ruptured spleen
Broken hand
That kid ain't seeing the front seat anytime soon, partially because of healing, and partially because that family won't be affording seats of any kind in this lifetime
Is it TorrentGalaxy.to?
I'm generally a patient gamer, but I shit a brick when I heard Deadspace was getting a ps5 remake (still on ps4, but not for long). I have hard copies for my Ps3 but my disk drive is kaput.
I've just bought my first full price game in about 20 years with REmake4 and am loving it. Can't wait to play on PS5 when I get one, but might hold out for the upgraded ps5 expected for Christmas 2024.
Armored core VI looks amazing, considering getting VR specifically because it looks like the perfect game for VR, but VR sure ain't cheap.
There's also a new final fantasy and the second entry for FF7 remake comes out this year as well I think
My video game cup runneth over for the first time in a long time.
I've generally been happy playing the classics in my library and haven't spent much time dedicated to gaming lately, but I have also only had PS4 for about 2 years now. Loved horizon zero dawn, thinking about trying RDR2 or God of War after REmake4 and hopefully the price of armored core 6 drops a bit by the time I'm finished!
No mention of the WEF or "that group" with the space lasers?
Nice try Darkard. Obvious shill is obvious. Wake up sheeple

Part of the reason why nothing ever changes is the people who want to see him jailed for his many crimes - including the crimes being committed while in the middle of actively getting in trouble for the same crimes - carry on with their lives as if everything is normal.
If Trump were (rightly) jailed months before trial because of his bullshit, his base would likely go full revolution domestic terrorism mode. Fox news would blast the horn of Gondor and every red hat would start marching to the beating the drum of civil war (hint, many already are). These people have proven they'll happily risk throwing their lives away in federal jail to make this happen.
All laws and actions aren't actually governed by anyone but the people. We are allowing this to happen by not shutting down the economy and forcing the wealthy to act in our best interest and not theirs. From Trump to wages and healthcare its the exact same answer. They do what they get away with and if we don't stop them they'll just push harder.
I'm not trying to pass the buck, or victim blame, or suggest that standing on a corner with a sign is the answer. But the right wing are super organized and have a base that's ready to go nuclear against their own country for any reason because they want to get their way (they often don't even know their way, just enemy bad), and other political groups simply don't have this kind of energy and commitment - which is fair because deprogramming a cult member is exceptionally hard, and isn't permanent, and the cult is also on several 24 hour channels.
I'm clearly not understanding this platform as well as I thought, I should probably watch a video or something!
The memes and boobs are great, but I'd love to get more reliable news and local information, seems like every Canadian one dies or is unpopular (fair enough given the limited user base which is still kind of nice)
And the news + politics seems to crash, but that's because I'm still using .World ...I think?
They hate everyone who isn't exactly like them, Trump has a similar level of entitlement and narcissism that they do, which is why they support him - because it's just another way to support themselves.
Narcissists live vicariously through Trump, because he's proven all you have to be to succeed is an entitled piece of shit (and wealthy) - which is the only quality they possess (minus the wealth).
When you're that level of narcissist, you don't actually care about the people around you, you only care that they agree with you. Which is probably why they wouldn't care if Trump low-key hates them, because they absolutely hate anyone below them on their social hierarchy, but they hate them less if they kiss the hierarchy ring.
When they have a Trump Rambo flag, it's actually them on the flag - Trump's face is just the unifying figure for their collective personality disorders.
