It happened the last time Trump tried it. China slapped a tariff on an ag product, soy (iirc), China stopped buying, the government bailed out the farmers. Everyone lost except China.

I did something similar a few years ago, but used vermouth (nowhere near as much of course) and added in some Cascara, which is coffee fruit that surrounds the bean. It was quite good.

With LEDs in general the power supply is usually what makes a good one. Bean counters love to save money there because you can design a supply with very few parts, if you add a few more you can have a good supply. A better quality supply will have protection for itself and the lights. LEDs really like to run at their rated voltage, and they hate power spikes.

For lights used outside the IP rating (how water resistant it is) usually needs to be taken with a few grains of salt.

If I wanted something permanent-ish I would talk to people that install it professionally.

While I have done Christmas lighting, I have never done Christmas light fixtures themselves. I do a lot of outdoor lighting for work. For my own personal stuff at home I always make my own power supplies.

That's some kind of communist talk. In the Land of the Free you are your own man. No nanny state telling you what to do. You have options. You can be rich, you can put all your money into a scam bank, which is de facto sanctioned, (and die when they do a rug pull because you no longer have money for life saving, much less preventative care), or you can die. But this was your choice, and you can have a huge truck (N.B. the bank actually owns the truck, but in 5 years you'll have it paid off).

In reality I left the US years ago and don't miss it, I do fear for friends though.
