Nah, interesting point from Issac Arthur that the dumbest AI always wins assuming both are complex enough to do the job, the dumb one will have less processing delay to make each decision.
Eh, that just leads back into only bad people can kill which is just bad people winning again. Ultimately we need good people who are willing to do bad things. Though ideally there just shouldn't be execution.
I think there's still a pretty solid argument that its shitty to remain a billionare. If I won that kind of money on the lottery I'd set asside enough to retire very comfortably (and still feel a little bad about it) and then build affordable housing and shit.
I'm not sure how it works in Switzerland but in the UK I believe the government is required to provide some legal settlement sites as a form of cultural preservation, many municipalities don't of course which results in illegal settlements. I know a lot of people dislike travellers but the issue always seemed to be an artifical one and classic example of creating an issue in order to take advantage of the outrage.
Its a combination of the speed of light and how inflation has varied the size of the universe. Light's only been able to travel about 14 billion light years since the universe began but those further regions used to be closer so light from them was already part of the way here when they vanished over the cosmic horizon.
Also most british products kind of suck... (British person here)
That said I'm still up for avoiding american brands because its hard to talk about animal rights when you're being mauled by a bear.
Honestly at this point, poor people have no form of IP protection whatsoever, even before chat GPT it was commonplace for megacorps to just take other peoples work and profit from and now that LLMs are here its outright routine. So why keep that shit when it only benefits the rich.
Honestly I think that isn't an issue with any one platform so much as it is one of the biggest successes of the extreme right. By being obnoxiously loud, openly self contradictory and everywhere in the media the extreme right has succesfully portrayed themselves as being representative of the entire right wing. This leaves the moderate right isolated, less likely to co-operate with the centre or left on issues where they might agree, and more likely to embrace the extreme right.
TLDR: Firehose of falsehood works even better when it splashes on the guy next to you.
The phrase 'reality has a left/liberal bias' is just a meme stemming from how left leaning people usually at least attempt to base their world view on observable reality, and from various occurances over the years of far right figures complaining when reality (usually in the form of scientific research) doesn't conform to their views or desires.
Simpsons itself has had multiple scenes cut out of episodes that are now really hard to find, in the worst cases it can be the entire end of an episode. The one that really sticks out is a scene where a celebrity ges jumped by cletus and a bunch of other rednecks and brutally shot to death with a lot of gore, the episode later got censored to end when cletus points a shotgun at him and eventually cut out the scene entierly making the episode rather abrupt.
