I've played the first Bloodlines game so much (it's #3 as far as hours played in my Steam library) and absolutely love it and am in a similar boat that you are, except I know Chinese Room through Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs (which I also love). I'm doubtful it will do well but optimistically hopeful that I will be proven wrong.
Mad Max - Played for a couple days this week, taking down camps and gathering scrap, and I think I got it out of my system. For now. Metro: Last Light - Finally got around to finishing the playthrough that I started a few weeks ago, plus ran through all the DLCs. I had a lot of fun with them, except for Heavy Squad and The Tower. Haven't quite got the hang of those two yet. The Developer pack was pretty cool with the 'museum' and shooting range/arena. I liked the little challenges. Diablo 3: Season 29 - Working on the conquests for this season. Completing one will finish the Destroyer chapter for me, but it's taking a little time.
Diablo 4 - I feel like I talk about this game every week, but I've been playing it every week, so... working on Season 2. Doing pretty good, already on Slayer chapter, and I'm happy to see a change up in the season journey objectives from last season. Feeling apprehensive but optimistic about completing all them this round, except for the PvP objective. There's like nobody in the PvP areas every time I'm there. Diablo 3 - season 29. Trying to improve my wizard for Greater Rifts. It's going... meh. I feel like I've hit a plateau in progressing, even though I'm still leveling up like crazy. Mad Max - I hadn't finished a previous playthrough of this game and was kind of having a shitty week, so I've been revisiting this favorite of mine. Ended up finishing the story while chatting with a friend, so now I'm just driving around in the Interceptor finishing up side quests and taking down camps.
I don't know, I had fun playing it, and I really like the build your own weapon aspect of it. The story definitely needed a rework though. The ending left the whole series on a bit of a sour note imo.
Diablo 4's Season 2 started this week, and I'm having a lot more fun playing with my rogue this round than I did with my druid in Season 1. They made it a lot easier to level up, which is nice. I could have done without the story though. It was super short and the new character Erys was not likeable at all.
Bit of an older game, but Don't Starve was great at this. At the beginning of a game you could set and customize the entire world/map that you were going to be dropped into, including how little or lot of each and every resource individually (eg, you could have a lot of trees, but few rocks, some carrots, but no berries, etc). IIRC you could also pick the world size, how much the land branched out into 'islands', weather patterns, the day length, stuff like that. It's essentially creating your own difficulty.
There's only 4 games that I've bought that I've paid over $55 for. Over the 10 years I've apparently been on Steam, I would have thought there'd be more in that price range, but I guess I've been pretty good at taking advantage of sales.
Diablo 4 - I finally finished out Season 1 early last week and have been taking a break before Season 2. I technically have two objectives left, but there's no way I was getting to level 100 before the 17th. I'm hoping the new patch for Season 2 fixes that. TBH the only reason I got the last task for all the rewards is because I was invited to a random party to run Nightmare Dungeons. I felt so bad because they were leveled way higher than I was, so I kept dying, but they didn't kick me, and I'm grateful for that. I feel like I'm the only one, but I can't wait to see what they do for Season Two.
Metro: Last Light - I fucking forgot about the catacombs and how much I hate going through them. Fuck Nosalises. Fuck Big Momma. There's always that one level in a great game that absolutely sucks, and that is the catacombs level for me in Last Light. Even though I did do better that I thought I would, I still hate that level. But I got my Kalash 2012 like I wanted, so whatever lol. Also I love Anna. I've always loved Anna, but I fall in love again everytime I play this game. Just like Artyom, I guess. Still haven't finished the game though, since I haven't had a bunch of time to myself over this weekend, but I'm hoping I'll finish up in the next two or three days.
