Is this an angelfire website in the 90's? Who the hell thought a background amalgamation of moving images was the best way to present printed media?

I just can't with these websites anymore. I find it almost impossible to read when there's a embedded video as it is.

Wants to break any agreements that impact the oil industry, complains about the forest fires.

I have a hard time reading about these people because I always have to wonder if they know what they're doing and don't care, or if they believe what they say.

Some people have seen Trump elevate his cronies in a way that looks like an easy ride to the top if you don't have a conscience. It seems like she wants in on that circle.

There's a interesting sci-fi book with a (vaguely) similar premise - House of Suns by Alastair Reynolds.

I'd say it's about that, because that is one of the things that group is about, the group this person wants to join.

I donno man, I'm no authority on morals but all things being equal I'd rather be around someone who doesn't share their girlfriend's sexts with their buddies.

Do you believe someone can't be internally motivated to encourage and uplift their peers, or at the very least feel guilt when they laugh at someone's expense?

Just wondering because I was like that: I told racist jokes, had plenty of similar friends, thought trans people were fooling themselves, and anyone who challenged me was pretending to be offended. I was obviously fine because I had good life.

Then I got older, met more people, learned more stories and when my old friends made fun of the new ones, I felt off about it. Decided I would rather hang out with the people who accepted everyone, made me feel good, and were still funny, just in a different way.

I still feel awful about the things I said and did and kinda wish I had noticed the signs sooner. While I was embraced by one group, I was being excluded from others and didn't even know it.

I donno man, live your life the way you want.

Can I just say what a crazy fucking timeline we're on? Like what the fuck. When I was a kid it was like, oh no bill clinton's a pervy asshole but still somehow cool. Now we have nazis, social media is owned by billionaires who manipulate people with memes, the earth is boiling and I'm still getting fucking ads for hair removal.

I suggest we all go out for one day, with some snacks to share, and some guillotines, have a party, then agree we all go back to the woods to eat berries and be happy. I don't even care about the god damn internet and good moisturizer. I would like to sit naked in a bog, eating leaves, and sleep in a tree dreaming of nothing at all.

I pretend not to see nor hear them until they speed off in a rage because I gotta be the change I want to see.
