The coverage of Gretzky's fall should be a lesson on manipulation by the media.
Latest articles on the Gretzky controversy mention his lack of team colours, giving the US team a thumbs up, Bobby Orr's letter and Trumps tweet - it paints a picture of patriotic hockey fans over-reacting to otherwise benign coincidences. Gretzky was supporting fellow players, not wearing the colours was bullshit but not shit-in-face worthy, Trump is an idiot. Easy to doubt his connections based on that information.
Some articles mention his wife was at a Trump's Inauguration. His wife. They were both at the inauguration and they both attended a party at mar-o-lago. They've been publicly supportive of Trump and yet most articles portray upset Canadians as taciturn fans, not mentioning the real link between Gretzky and Trump.
Indigenous people of north america. Tokenized parts of tales and folklore are often misrepresented and not told by people who grew up learning the stories.
As a protester who fully supports this - for people thinking of doing similar acts, make sure your organization can back and support you.
Arrests for these things can bar you from engaging in future protests, affect your education, ability to travel and your career. Ensure you have a plan for when you get arrested.
I have more than a few friends who've had their lives derailed. Remember - never talk to the police, not even a word. Demand a lawyer, no matter what.
After years of trying to build a solid workout routine I've managed to do at least 40 min of cardio every morning for the last two months, to the point where I'm craving more.
I've started taking my writing seriously as well, and after some online courses have vastly improved over the last year. I'm working on a collection of short stories now.
For some context: This paper discusses how more trash cans negatively impact how people perceive a natural space, but removing them without providing effective signage may increase litter.
A combination of effective signage and having easily accessible bins (for staff to maintain) near park entries and exits lowered the amount of litter and improved how people perceived the natural space.
This goes to show how many Canadians don't know the Russians have been testing our northern borders for decades. Part of Trump's plan in threatening our country and laying down tariffs is to help destabilize us for the Russians. Our joint efforts have protected the north out of mutual concern, but since America can no longer be trusted - we need to build our own defences, fast.
The most interesting people and characters have flaws, they fail spectacularly, over and over. Some of the best comedy comes from trauma, too. Plus, when you accept yourself with all your bullshit, no one can use it against you.
Edit: It's weird how many people equate accepting flaws with making excuses.
I have a hard time believing that because it would be nearly impossible to implement, monitor and prosecute. Not to mention Trudeau is no longer the party leader. Not to mention you can't really ban having the knowledge to do something.
Do you mean Bill C-21? Because that only covered the possession and distribution of files and parts for ghost guns.
It's because your title doesn't tell us what the link is for. At least give some context.
The other reason is because some people, like me, filter their feeds for preference or to preserve our sanity. Adding context helps the filters.
