My definition of side loading is installing anything outside of an app management system. For example going to a website and downloading the APK and installing it.
This is what I was thinking of. Unfortunately the Police were not very little help most of the time. During their saga, they basically had to become their own lawyers and collect a pile of evidence to make anything happen.
Yeah I am way out of practice in my cursive. I can still read it but it wouldn't come naturally. Cursive was pounded into my head at a young age. Teachers saying we would used it every day in our lives. That was probably true for them but it was certainly not true for me.
The only time I ever use cursive is signing my name. The only time I read cursive is a letter from my grandparents once they pass that would basically be the end of my cursive reading.
Software is not political, it’s just code executing on a machine and doesn’t care what you believe.
You can't convince me printer software/drivers/firmware doesn't have an agenda. They work for every single test page any time or any where but you need to print something important they will riot.
Maybe I have just had back luck but syncing my files across all of my devices has always burned me at some point. No matter what software I have used I have overwritten something by accident or I try and delete something and it doesnt get deleted on all device. Or get a bunch of conflicting files and now i need to figure out what file I want etc...
I do use some syncing but it is mostly between only two devices. Often times it is only a 1 way sync. For example photos on my phone get synced to my NAS automatically.
For me keeping all of my files in one place is the way to go. I just have everything on a NAS. (TrueNAS) All of my devices connect to that and i just edit them directly over the network.
Genuine question for everyone. Are their any VPS providers that are not privately focused?
I was under the impression data privacy is very important in the data center world. VPS would be included in that.
However as far as i understand for all of them it is just a policy to not snoop. They could break in and snoop on your data if they really wanted to or were legally forced to do so.
You can get around this by encrypting your data on the VPS.
That is what they are saying.
They are just pointing out the exception. The only way you wouldn't need to sideload F-Droid is if it happened to be pre-installed on the OS itself.
