  • Don't forget all the other little subscription services that have popped up.

Seems like I can't go a day without a few things wanting my cash monthly.

I don't currently sail the seas, but it's part of my next project, a cluster of pis or similar... I've got a hell of a server, and got it for free, but it just kills our electric bills and produces a lot of heat that the AC has to combat thus even higher electric bills. . Hoping a cluster of pis will be sufficient for what I want, but I've done no real research past proof of concept at this point.

    Advice or resources welcome lol.

  • I believe his point is that a gag order won't stop trump from breaking it.

My own take is we shall see if the courts have any teeth when he violates it.

Your point is completely valid, don't get me wrong, you're just talking about different things on the same topic.

  • Been a long time since I went fishing as anything else than a chance to hang with a friend, and kill a six pack on a nice sunny day.

Hell, I've just sat with him while he fished and we shot the shit for a couple hours.

It was in a public park, catch and release system. So a little chatter wasn't gonna spook the fish anymore than a playground of kids screaming.

  • Seems like the simplest method for dealing with traitors goes back to a long drop and a short rope.

If done right it can be relatively quick and painless. I have never felt the need to learnt to tie a noose, but I'll give it a shot for that piece of filth.

  • My biggest problem is some schmuck who I doubt has a medical degree, and has never seen me as a patient, but has absolute power over what a MEDICAL DOCTOR deems necessary.

At that point it really begins to sound like practicing medicine without a license to do so, let alone the knowledge required to get an MD.

  • Just gonna pop in for a moment. Murder has its own charges. A hate crime, in this case, will tack on additional charges. Potentially keep them from harming their community for longer.

Of course jail is privatized and the perpetrator will no doubt be abused, either by guards or inmates.

The American penal system is flawed to its core, but societies do have a need to house harmful individuals. Where that line is is up for debate by better minds than mine.

  • You say that like the GOP is actively working towards a fascist overthrow of the government.

Oh, wait... There was that failed coup on 1/6.

    Traitors indeed.

I'm not one to call for the death penalty, but the Rosenbergs died for less treasonous activities than the former dipshit in chief.

  • Ive said the same at a metal show lol.

Megadeath was performing and something went wrong to the tune of blowing all the speakers that actually put out sound (big "walls of sound" amplifier displays and the like are all theatre these days, it can be done better and cheaper with modern tech)

To MDs credit, they took half an hour with the roadies to get their personal equipment working through shit and rocked the rest if the show.

  • Art is subjective. Drawing the line on expression is at best treading in dangerous waters.

Hell, a well managed and put togetger patch panel in a network closet is art to me. It is absolutely a thing of beauty in my mind. But I am biased in that direction becauae I've seen so many network closets where the quickest method is just pull everything and start over. Of course this leads to downtime which is unacceptable, so you have to trace one fucking cable at a time. I do not do well with tedious and repetitive tasks.

  • I'd actually believe it if they looked like they had a long shift, and a lot of hospital shifts are already 12 hours, at least in my experience supporting various medical systems (as in groups of hospitals, clinics, etc).

Then they can have their scrubs on for a short little "check in" with viewers. Most people who wear scrubs sweat their asses off all day, and most likely have at least one strangers bodily fluid on them. They change out of it.

My wife, for example once came home, stripped in the laundry room and tossed it in the wash, then went to shower. She wouldn't speak of what happened. Her position is also unlikely to deal with bodily fluids, but there we were. She also carried a pair of scrubs in her car trunk in case she needed to change mid shift.

Shit, sometimes quite literally, happens in hospitals and no one is immune.

  • Or Indy, watched the first 3 over the last few nights with the wife.

I've never seen 4 and 5, but I'm not hopeful.

I would believe an AI representation of Ford could be used to make 6, etc, after his passing.

Ethics and morals aren't relevant to CEOs as long as the shareholders are happy.
