  • It's relatively easy to envision.

Assume each agency (not just the 3-letter ones, any) had X% of fascists and fascist-friendly people. The other 100%-X% will be fired. So just the X% remain.

On the one hand, the agency is now severly crippled as it lacks key personell, and probably the firings aren't evenly spread through departments and key positions, meaning some aspects don't work at all any more (separating air traffic is one, for a simple example), while others still mostly work. On the other hand, all remaining aspects are now 100% fascist in their nature, and will always take the fascist option if one presents itself as anyone who would not do so has been removed.

  • And saying that is going to piss off a lot of folk.

Who then might not call back at all, so it works out either way!

  • Personally since chat/messages are now ubiquituous, call implies you need my reply/attention/input now, and/or need the vocal tonal part of communication.

If you call, and it's clear there was neither reason, I'm annoyed. There was no reason to interrupt me, as I'll assume there's an emergency or urgent situation and pick up dropping whatever I'm doing.

There are exceptions of course, but nowadays those (like family get-togethers or check-ins) have honestly moved to group video chats so they're not "calls", either.

  • I mean to be fair that's a niche event in a niche sports form in one backwards country that can't even get their gov in order. 😛

Jokes aside, it's sad how far these agents/helpers have degraded. From the comparatively glorious Google Now that was black magic and would pull out tickets as you approached the starting point, recommend clothes and gear for weather at your destination and if you wandered around a few seconds told you where you parked your car, to nowadays being some AI slop that hallucinates shit constantly.

  • The left one is much easier on the eye, tbh.

  • Didn't the same guy pretend he was going to create a small phone before?

  • I think compared to something as big as the Switch 2, SteamOS on another niche PC handheld, as important as it is to us consumers, just wouldn't even register.

It's like that EA thing, 50% too few sales on DAVG, but the chickens are running around in a panic over 5% less gacha sales in FC24 instead. 😅

  • Hey just the last 2 weeks I had two separate friends be ripped off on ebay. Yeah it has improved, but it's still a ton of scummy shit.

  • I mean the game is... okay, anyways. Which in the context of a Dragon Age is disappointing as fuck even after the boredom simulator that was DAI. But it's not like anything is particularly bad either, not even the dialogue. It's... fine. Aggressively mediocre, even.

  • This must be very different in the US because over here eBay would be like just lighting your money on fire (since you have 0 recourse or reimburse options while Amazon's primary upside is how trivial replacement and reimbursements are). I mean de-amazon sure, but not for a place that's as anti-consumer as can be, which of course makes sense for actual second-hand purchases where you have no legal liabilities by the seller anyways.

  • Oooooh, I just finished this. Really really well done game.

There are some minor parts that could have been better (like not being able to skip/FFWD text) and it's not quite as good in its shock or horror as DDLC or so while also not being quite as good in its meta-narrative as Stanley Parable but honestly that's such a minor criticism it really doesn't matter. Fantastic experience, and some super nice jump scares in there, including a few where you expected one and then there's a different one.

  • Icons are now all the same shape, using similar colours, causing you to tap the wrong one more often.

This is really the wildest thing to me, as its the equivalent of gaming graphics being optimized for screenshots to active gameplay before Youtube-videos for ~everything became too normal to keep that up.

Yeah sure auto-recoloring icons with all the same background look neat. In screenshots!

  • Bit misleading, seems to do what Google desperately needs to do, waste less screen space on the same amount of buttons?

  • Yeah same, I really really really wish a necessary and life-saving surgery they now cannot afford to each and every wanker that paid into this crap.

  • Not a Nazi salute

    Oh fuck OFF!

  • I mean I can't tell you the precise line but when your bought slaptoy called Trump can just pardon everyone as he wishes, you really couldn't give a rat's ass any more.

  • What's worse, this happens at a time when there are already certain issues genuinely bigger than humans as a species (in some regards), like climate change, that ought to supercede all other issues and really need everyone to pool all of their resources and be smart about it.

Instead we get Chucklefuck McDoofusface doing a Sieg Heil as he accepts his de-factor presidency of the Unites States of Assholery.
