Why do anything and sell for a profit then? And owning rental properties is work. A lot of work. And you're wrong about the 1% thing

Back when I was a kid, I ended up guessing my principal's internet password for our local dial-up. His email was through our local phone company, so his login name was the same.. So I had free internet from 8th grade til I graduated. Eventually, the phone company made it where only one person could be logged in at once, but by then I had the money to buy my own.

My parents weren't home a lot of hours in the afternoon, and I was the oldest, so I had free reign. I kind of miss those days

I still remember the 3 passwords I got over the years. His was "kramer" and the other two were "Ozzie1" and "Chicken1"

Oh man. That subreddit was a fucking trip. I followed it for a while, and couldn't believe how the hosts would interact with them. Some absolute crazy people on that sub

I know a lot of Republicans that hate how both parties have become. We need some independents to vote for. There's a lot of us that are caught in the middle. I agree with the small govt part of traditional Republicans, and agree with a lot of what the left has. For whatever reason. All we get is some bullshit extreme from either side.

Not really. It's okay for some just casual internet browsing and a few apps that are made for it, and I think you can use Office on it, but I've only used it to entertain myself at work. If you had access to a laptop or PC, you can plug a USB cable into any of the flagship Samsung phones and test it out.

Itd be nice if more people used it though, so itd get more support

If you're familiar with Linux at all, there are some versions you can put on a rooted Android phone, and use it like a Linux PC. I never tried it, but I know it was a thing about 10 years ago, and I'm sure it's still being worked on

That's great, though. This wasn't my dream job, but I kind of fell into what I wanted to do along the way. It turns out that it's very fulfilling and pays well. And I can't think of anyone that is above me that I don't like. No one has given me a reason to hate them, and I think they feel the same about me. The people that work for me like me, even though they're constantly giving me shit

I do like how this site (pretty much Reddit) acts like every employer is out to fuck them, and everyone is as miserable as they are.

It's because you can only put a few people on these jobs at a time, and you want damn good workers that do quality work. You don't want multiple crews messing with some things because it can cause confusion or things to be missed

And it wasn't promised to me, but I did make it up the ladder some, and still have places I can go up to. It's actually a really good job, pays damn good, but requires a person to put in some work.

But, it's nothing to go work a month like this, pay all your bills and have $15k extra after it's all done

It's not white collar. It's powerplants. I do work in management, but the deal when I moved up was that I still got to work in the field 50% of the time. I get burned out sitting in my office. And I definitely did not start in management, but at the very bottom

And as far as the hours.. there's only so many people you can put on some jobs, so hiring others will just have them standing around

Also, I'd say 90% of the people that work with me love their jobs. I've seen quite a few of them turn down better pay because we're pretty chill and honest about work and expectations. We keep good people around as long as possible.

Yea, it's a good job. And it's nothing about hiring more people. Some jobs can only be done by a few people, so we just go around the clock until it's fixed and bring home big paychecks

My work laptop just got replaced, and what's great is the dock that came with it. It only connects to my laptop thru a USB C. So. Now I unhook my laptop, and plug my phone into it, which uses Dex. It's like Samsung's own desktop OS. And I can use my big screens and keyboard and mouse

I also make sure my phone isn't using the network cable plugged into it and only use my own internet. I don't think it'd let me anyways

Fuck that. Our company gives us phones because they know they're secure. And we don't use them for anything but work related apps. I still make all my phone calls from my personal or office phone

I say, "We," but that's not entirely true. There are a couple of jackasses that do everything on them, but I assume the company can see it of they want to. So, fuck that

I have a job I love 99% of the time. And I have hobbies. I worked really fucking hard to get to where I am. 80+ hour weeks for months at a time for years.

We also have other younger guys come in, and some of them want to learn, and they go right on up the chain. Then, we have people that want things handed to them, don't wanna do anything, and wonder why they're not getting promotions. I've even given them incentives, raises, and tried to coach them on what they should do to meet a goal we both set. Some just want to point fingers and blame everyone else, and never take responsibility for their actions

But we have more success stories than "failures." It's good company to work for.

So I use revanced for youtube.. does it only work with sync or would it work with RIF? I'm not sure how it actually works, but I know that it's awesome for YT.

Anyways. I'm over Reddit now. If I Google something and it sends me to Reddit, I look for other sources before I use the Reddit link

Oh. Also, the company I work for has estimated that demand will grow 50% over the next 10 years, some of it due to demand from electric vehicles. They're building new plants and wind farms non-stop, and also upgrading transmissions because they make a lot of easy money by letting other companies use their lines
