Important to note, that had people never tried trickle-down economics, then we wouldn't have data telling us about its effects. This is kinda just how the "march of history" works, its how the data that can be used to fill textbooks gets generated in the first place.

It's like wishing a lab experiment had never been done just because it resulted in disproving something. It's good that it disproved something, that's helpful.

Buy and use whole chickens instead of buying chicken pieces. They're not difficult to break down yourself, a youtube tutorial is all you need.

Then keep the bones and stuff that would normally be considered waste. Put them into sturdy ziplock bags and freeze until you have a few of them. Then take them out and use them to make a chicken stock that can be the base of a soup or stew.

I swear a lot more irl than I do on here. A lot of a swears value is in the tone you deliver it in, that's kinda how you communicate which variation/definition of "fuck" you're actually using, of the huge number of possibilities. This opens up possibilities for humor, expressing subtle (or not so subtle) emotion, etc.

On here, since I lack that fine control, I tend to just revert to using it as an exclamation. And I just don't do that often, I don't use exclamation marks very often either.

Yes. If you are a Russian willing to say anything but what Putin permits, you should not travel to Russia. Putin has more say over what happens in Russia than other Russians do.

She's not really running to try to come in first. She's trying for second place, so if something happens to him, like going to prison or being barred from too many ballots, she becomes the most likely nominee.

tbf, the Nazis did wear masks sometimes, particularly when gas attack was threatened. So, clearly, masks are always bad.

Because we have Freedom of Speech, and people like convenience more than challenge. Lets take racism. While it should be fairly apparent that trying to lump any entire group of people all together without acknowledging exceptions is silly, its also very convenient to have a scapegoat you can blame your society's failings on, instead of looking deeper at your own beliefs and how they might be contributing to your problems.

We can't do away with the freedoms either, as they, alongside our checks and balances, protect us from totalitarianism. People generally consider education in critical thinking, the humanities and the scientific method to be the solution to all of this, long-term. But, others choose to exercise their own freedoms to attack education itself, which they are free to do.

So, it's complicated. But in classic democratic fashion, the choice will be up to us in the end.

Listening to all the arguments means you're going to spend a lot of time wasting your time on garbage. Freedom of Speech protects people's rights to just make stuff up and get everyone else angry about it.

True. They have a lot more though. Most countries haven't invested heavily in their 155 mm. S Korea, with all their artillery pointed across the DMZ for decades now, is an exception.

Freedom of Speech does not mean that everybody has to always allow all speech everywhere. If mom wants to kick you out of dinner for your speech, that is not a violation of your rights or the first amendment. She is within her rights to do that, if you are under her roof.

That said, I otherwise agree with you here. I also think it is incredibly dumb and counterproductive to try to take this "all or nothing" approach to community, where people are banned from one place just for going to a different one. This actually just serves to strengthen the thing you are trying to fight, as they are fueled by anger.
