  • I should say half of voters, it's just a distinction I'm too mad to make. But yeah, same issue. I don't have any trust that sacrifice will be worth it in the current climate or near future unless drastic things happen.

  • The lack of fear that I'm going to become homeless, arrested, prosecuted, or my position in life devalued significantly. It's gambling at this point on whether it's successful or not, as well as regarding any legal ramifications, which further hurts future employment prospects. No one wants to do business with a felon (except for the Big One), and job interviews aren't nuanced enough for me to explain to political climate of the time, nor is there enough incentive for employers to take the chance on me over a candidate that is within 1-2% with none of the baggage.

Believe me, I'd love to change labor in the US, but there is 0 reason for me to have confidence in my fellow citizens at this point. Half the country voted for this.

  • I couldn't get that to work. Despite being plugged into accessory, it would remain on at all times, and I didn't want to end up with a dead battery from it running 24/7. I've never been too worried about parking modes either tho.

  • I'll take this over the Kick 1990 Clip Art color fade. Looks like a paintball gun from the early 2000s. The only element on the car is the two tone wheel covers being green up front and black in the rear. 0 shapes, 0 design. Just 45 degree line to delineate fade behind the driver.

  • They're all uninspired; it's all a team color with a bunch of corporate logos. The best element on the grid is a Duracell battery

  • Oh look it's Alfa Romeo Ferrari

  • I'm not going to die clinging to old ideals. I have friends, family, colleagues, and clients who will be negatively physically and mentally affected by changes proposed. When it comes down to it, I'm not going to care about accuracy of the message. They've shown no regard for rule of law, constitutionality, or empathy or concern for others. I get it, "don't become them", but I'm not going to let myself get hung up on those details anymore. It's a different game now.

  • Sure, but they are a cult in power. If I have to choose, I choose the cult I can identify with.

I just think it's dumb to turn your nose up at the message because part of it isn't true. Absolutely, dispel the untrue parts. We don't disagree there, but it's not all or nothing; true parts still exist within. Help give people the tools to see the error in part, not just blanket disavow.

In my opinion, that is. I'm not a political strategist, otherwise I'd be working with the devil on selling defective baby carriages in Africa. Or "Cyber trucks" as we call them here in the US.

  • Yeah, they're a little tricky because the model numbers change based on the number of cameras, despite generally being the same individual components. But I love mine too. Also got a hardwire kit so I don't gotta deal with the cigarette lighter cord. Took me about 2 hours of planning and watching YouTube videos cause I'm thorough, but it was a fun afternoon project.

  • How? It has literally not hurt the GOP even a little bit. If anything, it's strengthened the base. We aren't a different species, and the crowd dynamics at play are similar.

It seems pretty easy that this is some kind of psy op to spread apathy.

It's just that easy to spin things online. Let people do what they want to do, we aren't a monolith. We can all operate how we see fit.

  • I'm not going to wait; he's said he wants to end the Dept of Education for months now. He's the people's choice for "He does what he says" (despite all the contrary evidence). Why would I wait for him to find a gun and point it to move out of the way or defend myself?

I'm also not super worried about the details; Medicaid is on the chopping block. Are we worried if it's the left hand or the right hand getting cut? It's a program that will receive some massive cuts, without the necessary oversight afforded to Congress by the Constitution. I'm not worried about the amount or the people involved, I'm worried about the action and process. It's the same argument as "when they go low, we go high". We're working from an obsolete standard. It's reading from a "how to untie a knot" manual while being burned at the stake.

  • I have a Viofo A229 and like it a lot; I also have had a cheapo one that didn't have any issues. I upgraded after my sister got hit by a box truck, using a same cheapo one. It survived and got good enough video, I just also wanted to get a rear facing one.

I think the big thing I found in my research was get one with a Starvis 2 sensor, as it has better night performance. Otherwise, get one that matches your price range and feature set. Most will do well enough anymore.

  • Idk. I remain firmly convinced one of the better ways to enact change (secondary to voting my chosen candidates in) is to call my representatives and voice my opinion on upcoming legislation. If I wait until the bills are introduced to make my calls, there is no guarantee the contact is made by then. One quick example with easy dates is Obamacare: introduced to house Mar 17, 2010. Voted on in-house 3/21, voted on in Senate by 3/25. That is 6 business days to be introduced and pass both House and Senate. If I had objections, that leaves me little time to contact and do my little spiel and for staffers to "review" it as needed.

Make no mistake, I'm not naive to where messages go, as I'm not a lobbyist with a checkbook. But listening to someone on the internet telling me "don't worry about it yet, everything is fine" seems an awful lot like drumming up apathy. These Medicaid and Dept of Ed threats directly threaten my job and clients, so I will absolutely not be waiting until the 11th hour to voice an opinion.

  • All fans can bring one (1) banana peel to use during the race.

  • Lol so the solution is to wait until it does happen to react or even speak on it?

  • I love my Nothing 2. I was a 1+ fan boy until the 8 Pro and the switch to Color OS, and I can't say enough good stuff about it. It runs well, it's pretty light Android skin. I don't use the glyphs, but it's just a really solid phone. Battery on it is great, I don't do much with pictures. I will definitely be sticking with this brand moving forward if trajectory remains similar.

  • Honestly, would be cool with Perez. Get an American with Herta, and Cadillac instantly get hero points with Mexico and a veteran driver who has been with top and not-so-top teams, and quite a bit in sponsorship money. A little North America squad.

  • Nah, that was more just where my internal commentary went!

  • Citizens United was a test run that Democrats let run rampant because they, too, benefited from the system. And here we are.

I hate the "both sides" arguments, but in this specific situation...
