Metro 2033. Played it in the dark with good surround sound headphones on, and it's positively claustrophobic.

Last Light is good too, but at little too optimistic IMHO. 2033 nails that endless pit of despair feeling, with just enough lucky breaks that you might make it through.

On the one hand, using more RAM leaves less room for your stuff.

On the other hand, unused RAM doesn't do anything for you.

So Windows 11 may actually be faster with sufficient RAM, but it's gonna leave nothing for your applications.

NVME 3500MB/S

Maybe not an order of magnitude faster, but at least 5x faster...

IQ isn't a real thing. Yes, there are IQ tests, and there is a correlation between IQ and intelligence, but for the most part, they want to be able to say "GEOTUS is smart, if you disagree with him then you are dumb, if you are dumb, then we will detain and sterilize you, and if you resist, we will execute you in the street."

You can make a bootable windows USB in like 15 minutes using the media creation tool.

Way better than the old days of copying ISOs and muckong about with creating partitions on a thumb drive.

Meh, safe mode with networking is pretty reliable about getting you back online (as long as you aren't using WiFi).

I guess you've made 2 replies specifically to my comment and chose the whine option.

If you wanna keep whining, go for it I guess. If you can't provide a scenario where it is both necessary to bring along a child, and necessary to leash a child, then I feel pretty secure in stating that I don't believe such scenarios exist.

If your want to whine, whine, but without a defending statement or new point to argue, there is no need to comment further.

Something’s lack of representation in media is not exactly a reliable metric of commonality, if it was, gay people sprang into being in the late 90s.

The point being made here is that gay people existed long before it was socially acceptable to be gay, and that the number of 'out' gay people goes up as the social acceptability goes up. This would imply that the same population percentage of people are gay, and what changes is the visibility. This is supposed to be an apology for why I don't many children on leashes.

Before the trump admin was in, my partner and I were planning a trip to Big Bend in TX with the express goal of not spending any money in Texas. We're not traveling to any red states for vacations at all for the next 4 years, that's for damn sure.

I think people would visit even if we were fascist. The thing keeping everyone away is the significantly greater than zero chance that you and your family might get picked up by ICE and questioned under duress for several days simply for trying to visit Disney World.

So, if leashing kids is both common and normal/acceptable, then why the fuck are they hiding? Are you saying that the world is full of closeted child-leashers who just leash their kids in the privacy of their own homes?
