  • Hello, random insert here. It feels like you're here in bad faith, but if you aren't, I'd like to provide clarity.

First of men/man is used here in a synonymous way for "mankind" so no sexist B.S. inserts please.

Hard times breed strong men means those who grow up destitute, in harsh conditions (homeless, extreme poverty, never enough food, bad security) are those who survive those times and are usually people who are resourceful and have better understanding of what it takes to have the necessities.

Strong men make good times means those who survived the aforementioned issues growing up are the ones who drive society now as adults. Those survivors are typically more empathetic and sympathetic to others who may be in that same position and strive to create a society for the next generation so that they do not have to suffer the same extreme circumstances.

Good times breed weak men means that the next generation lives without nearly as much struggle, resources are generally more plentiful, they are focused more on self enrichment and personal fulfillment. This is what the "strong generation" wanted, but typically the choices made by the "weak men" are lead entirely by personal enrichment and gain. Combined with the lack of innate sympathy and empathy for those who are in poor conditions due to not having the experience themselves they make choices that are short term and not always for the benefit of everyone.

Weak men breed hard times means the choices towards self fulfilment and personal enrichment has gone too far and neglected others to the point that as the following generation comes into society the resources are scarce. They must be hard fought for and competed for in a way the weak men never did. The cycle then repeats and you have the generation growing up competing for minimal resources in harsher conditions leaving them desiring to change this for themselves and prevent if from happening to others.

That is the theory/meaning behind the quote

  • Like I said "or something to that affect". I only know this because I was talking with someone who was in the Philippines who told me they made US minimum because of aforementioned law. I personally never dug into it but something to that affect exists (assuming the person wasn't lying, which they had no reason to)

I would also present the possibility that companies, parent companies and sub companies don't all work as US companies even if they are present majoritively for sale purposes in the US. As well as a parent, sub, or affiliated companies can all be based outof different places even if the others are not.

Apple is a great example where they have all their patents and ownerships based out of a company in a small country around south america (I forget the actual name) and Apple the parent company actually "purchases" licenses to their own products for tax reasons. Even though they are all under the same umbrella more or less

  • I learned Something interesting recently that might have to do with minimum wage increases. Companies that are American companies but hire outside of the US still have to pay US minimum wage as a minimum (or something to that affect). So if you have A ton of people working in the phillipenes for instance, you can't go lower than $7.25 if you increase minimum wage you increase it for all those outsourcing company's employees making product way way more expensive and throwing off the local economy with much more money influx.

Am I saying increasing the minimum wage is wrong? No, I wholly support it. But that might be a reason as to why.

  • As a serious note though, on a micro enough scale, everything will become bumpy/not a single linear thing. On a macro enough scale it would be impossible to determine variation and appear flat.

In a common human sense, many things are flat and linear to normal human perception. Many crystal and metal formations have flat, straight, and sharp features.

And something theorized to be existing and straight would be (iirc) the planck length. Light so energized that the wave becomes essentially linear (please verify because this is memory only)

  • Okay! Can do!

Defnitions: Flat (adjective), My chest. Example My chest was flatter than an angle measured at 180°

Straight (adjective) anything that has perfect parallelism to my chest. (See notes)

Notes (Straight): Straight cannot be used as an adjective to describe my sexuality.

Additional information some users may find helpful: This is satire

FAQ: Is this commentary on anything political? A: No, this is typically considered bad humor.

Is this a joke? A: yes, this is a joke just as much as the author of the joke is -entirely.

Why did you write this? A: I thought of this stupid joke and have no impulse control on writing dumb comments (see previous question)

What is the meaning of life? A: 42

Do dinosaurs really exist? A: I had Dino nuggies last night and do not believe big chicken would lie to me about making up dinosaurs, so yes they are real

Has this joke gone too far? A: This joke is for me, I need to make myself laugh

  • I am currently on vyvanse myself, originally 40mg down to 20mg (at my request, was lasting too long affecting sleep). Something I've noticed about it in particular is making sure to eat and avoiding caffeine. I get the jitters and heart racing if I don't eat enough, vyvanse also decreases my appetite a bunch and makes me thirsty (I suggest water as the drink of choice).

This is only anecdotal experience, I also talked to my doc about it and it is being monitored. so as others also suggested, talk to your doc about it too, it's more important and cheaper long term to get it correct and handled now than not.

  • You seem to misunderstand what I said and why I said it. In my response to the other person which is what you are responding to, I simply was giving you a concise answer based on your other replies.

I made no claims as to your intentions and offered only clarity. My response was specifically that. If you did not know here is clarity, hopefully you learned and moved on. Otherwise there is not much internet strangers can do. I did specifically mentioned I did not know your intentions which is why I wrote it, for clarity.

If you felt my response was negative than you failed to understand what I wrote and there's nothing I can really do about that

  • I did see some comments by OP, whether feigning ignorance or truly unaware, I wanted to make a comment that was unambiguous and very clear.

It seemed OP was unhappy with some of the other responses or felt like it wasn't entirely answered so this way hopefully there is no confusion that the concept they were asking about just does not exist. If it was ignorance, hopefully they learned and move on. If not, well that's a choice they made and there's nothing us internet people can do beside answer honestly and condemn poor viewpoints like eugenics.

  • Outside of a physiological abnormality, there is zero reason any human would be incapable of being entirely and completely fluent in any particular language.

The only potential differences could be: accent or maybe sentence structure. However if both were raised from talking age in the same place where birth origins are different those differences would never exist. Those potential differences are only for those who may learn it later in life. Even then, only a maybe.

  • Hmmm, I'd say I always IRL and online Try to be a decent person so by that, never. However there are plenty of things I say to create a persona online simply because it's fun, goofy and harmless. If I'm feeling goofy or want to commit to a bit, such as my earlier comments on this profile fitting in bugles anywhere I could because I thought of a funny username.

Is that misrepresenting myself? Probably by technicality. Although I can be goofy IRL too so bit of yes, bit of no, depending on how close you wanna define it

  • Frivolous stuff and/or pleasantries it tends to happen. Never for anything important or that matters to a reasonable degree. I do tend to choose my words more carefully if I want to answer but don't want to fully speak on something.

  • I've had an absurd amount of death in my life, double digits by the time I was 18. Every one of them I knew personally or was family. From a variety of ways. Accidents, suicides, sickness, drugs.

What I learned from this is that, its gonna happen. Life as a whole isn't all that special to the world or to the universe. But your experiences and everything you put value in, is.

At this point, death is more like (in my eyes) someone taking a trip and I just gotta say Goodbye and hope they do well because they won't be able to talk to me anymore. Remember the good stuff and why you liked em, and move on. Because it's gonna happen to you and others in your life too and if you dwell too long you won't be able to remember the people around you now and why you liked them too.

Nothing is a bigger regret than trying so hard to cling to someone out of reach that you never held on to those reaching for you

  • Something to consider in regards to honesty, is tact. There's no reason to lie, but also no reason to be abrasive. It is something I struggle with myself and how I use words.

An example of tact could be someone has bad breath your response could be: "Your breath smells like shit" or "You could use a mint"

The latter will be much better received than the former but neither are a lie and present the issue. Saying things as definitive I've noticed also comes across as harsh even if you are 100% certain of something. I don't fully grasp communication in that way but I've gotten better once I've recognized it and it has helped my interactions. Perhaps it could aid yours.

  • Question, how is racism towards tourists there (or in general)? Caucasian, Asian, African, etc.?

I've heard places like Japan is Super bad and a very close minded people towards pretty much anyone not Japanese. They just deal with tourist basically
