CEO pay should be a % of total employee compensation. Want to earn more? Gotta raise pay or benefits for all other employees. Need to lay people off? Do what you need to do but you made the pie smaller so your compensation goes down.

I'm more certain than ever that you're a shitty company that pays shit wages with shit benefits and working conditions while paying your executives ever-increasing salaries even in the worst economic conditions. Trump just made me realize that every single dollar I spend could be used against me, my family, and my fellow man.

Just speaking for the windows team at my own company, they're arguably less modernized than our mainframe team.

My employer did basically this and it's really only used for nickel and diming employees. At best you get 100% of what you would've been due, but you probably end up getting 95% of it. So while you might miss out on a couple hundred dollars the company saved millions by doing this across the board.
