  • I lived the collectibles in Anacronox, they were little golden taco trophies and their lore was that they used to be highly sought after until it came out that TACO stood for Totally Arbitrary Collectible Object and it tanked the market.

You meet a guy that held on till the bitter end but finally had to sell off his collection because he needed the money, so you give him any you find for trinkets and stuff to help him rebuild his collection.

  • I don't know if I'm opposed to store exclusives exactly, but epic was paying out the nose to drive people to their store that didn't even have a shopping cart.

They launched a store without a feature every online store has had for decades

  • I tried bazzite and nobara which are both the big gaming distros. Bazzite worked the best but I had a ton of just weird little issues with stuff randomly not working unless I restarted it. I don't have much to say about nobara because I couldn't actually get steam to work for some reason.

I went back to mint and honestly it's been the smoothest and easiest to use distro, plus it has a larger user base so it's easier to find help.

  • Disposable vapes have to be a thousand times worse than k-cups.

I was floored when one of my coworkers was showing off his vape that played games and stuff and said he went through one a week.

  • I totally understand the mortality aspect, I was just thinking if a patient is 100% going to die from liver failure without a transplant, any chance to live from a live donor seems worth it. Of course I don't know any statistics so I have nothing to base it on.

Maybe euthanasia should be a legal option instead of a slow agonizing death that puts next of kin into medical debt.

  • It's not super clear, but the article makes it sound like if a partial graft from a live donor fails, then the recipient is automatically fast tracked for a new transplant from a deceased donor.

If that's the case then maybe policy should be changed in the case of alcohol abuse.

  • I'm probably in the minority here but the realistic style is the least of my issues with the movie. I've only played modded minecraft and shaders give it that weird realistic look too lol

  • Anecdotally it hasn't been that hard. I've had the best luck with Linux Mint just working straight out of the box. I basically only use my computer to game so your mileage may vary if you need specialized software or something.

Also the benefit of mint is that Ubuntu has a huge user base comparatively so you can find a lot of info online for people who have probably already figured out issues that you might encounter.

  • Even Google maps does this! I accidentally drove 45 minutes out of the way because I clicked the first result because of course that should be the closest store. Google can fuck right off with these sponsored results
