Just want to thank everyone again for the support w/ all this stuff. Means a lot.
Today's activity is spraying oxalis w/ aerogard, glyphosate (hate that shit) and burning with the weed burner thing. in a few weeks getting a large unsafe branch lopped so will have the mulch to double down.
I was told I won't win but with a 'fuck everyting if you're oxalis' mentality I have a chance.
I'm surprised the aerogard works so quickly. Literally within the hour it ded. Just hope it's transported to the bulbs. The ones I did a few months ago haven't bounced so.. with any luck...
Yea only thing bro has done is drop off some shit to eat once that she couldn't eat lol. Didn't even see her in hospital. Granted they just had a bubs for the recent hospital stay but ol' girl has been in and out for over a year so it's not really an excuse in my mind. When they were over a few weeks ago when ol' girl just got out, I was explaining the gravity of things and they just didn't give a shit which annoyed me.
The eating thing is doing my head in. For over a year now for her it's supposed to be 6 small things a day and I'm struggling to get just 1 in. Now with the bowel resection and her not eating for that long in recovery and the refusal I just can't get enough volume of food in. When she was in good shape and sound mind she'd refuse ol' boy's bbqs anyway.. lol.
I guess I just feel everything I've been trying to do (basically keep her at home and not in a home) has just fallen apart.
Ended up going to stay a day or two more down here as I probs hit a mental limit with care before I get things going again. Finally caught up with me I think.
Big fight with the ol' boy last night and I can see he's reaching his too. It's all been sorted out today everyone just needs a breather and that's healthy.
In unrelated news I took a weed burner to dim sims with little chillies on top on a bbq which was not something on my bucket list but here we are.
Excuse the magpie poo on the left that's not my fault.
lol just checking to see if everyone is enjoying their stay.
A year back one chased me across the room (and followed me when I changed direction). I don't mind spiders but that thing really didn't like me for some reason and it was actually disturbing. Ended up walking outside, it followed, closed the door, so I won that fight.
At the shops yesterday and a mum was there w/ her probably 3 yr old girl. At this place the confectionery is at the checkout right at eye level for the kid. She started shoveling shit into her pockets. I couldn't stop laughing my arse off because it was the perfect crime as the checkout couldn't see kiddo. Mum was pretty embarrassed but in reality it made my day.
Ended up having a little drunken slide show last night. So more Nepal from '99!
Pretty sure that's everest taken from somewhere close to namche bazaar-ish.
Almost the highest we went (only 3800m from memory).
I remember all the fit kids really felt it at that altitude. I was a naughty kid smoking durries where I could w/o getting caught, I didn't feel a thing lol. And I think that weirdly enough added to the experience for me. Sneaking off far away from the group, absolutely no one around just sitting there in the dirt staring at the views.
Resident magpie remembers me so appeased it w/ cheee. Really makes you wonder just how much memory they have. Haven't been here for months and the thing was right at my feet without a second thought.
Heading down the bellarine today. Been almost 3 months so the weed sitch will be borked.
Over the rona restriction days when I finally got down there, ended up being 16 weeks of consecutive full green bins. Really hoping that isn't going to happen again.
Ol' girl snapped at me and ol' boy last night about not having independence (she's snapping at everything lol not very funny though) so I figure now's a good time to give this thing a bit of a rest for a few days.
Feel a bit guilty going, but will feel a bit guilty staying so not going to win this one.
When my ol' girl was in, literally anyone could walk in and out no questions asked. No guard. Felt odd just walking in. Was thinking at the time that surely a patient has just upped and left and no one would know.
Recently tried on some (i think) fancy photochromic type things and the difference was fairly amazing. Wasn't any magnification just clearer. Heard how much they cost and nup, I'll live in my little blurry world for now.
it's basically just a kettle w/ a stick blender heh. Not quite thermomix those things are like 10x the price. Weight-wise this thing isn't too bad. It is simple though.
Witches' advice has been weighing on me heavily (and for that I can't thank her kindly enough for sharing her experience).
Just christened the new soupmaker I got for the ol' girl / boy.
Morphy richards clarity thing.
Idea was to reduce use of the stovetop for her / less cleaning / quicker and probably safer.
First up, potat and leek. Shit that thing is fast. 21 mins. Maybe 5 mins of prep, 2 mins cleaning. Don't really eat that stuff but was actually surprisingly very good. Gave maybe 3-4 serves.
If she doesn't use it it'll still save me a shitload of time and hassle.
I hope it's not one of those flat packed rolly ones.
I lost about a quarter of my hair figuring out those. I've done 2, I will not be doing 3 lol. They do work well though.
