  • This solution sort of implies that the Taliban would allow it. Like the whole system over there isn't designed to crush these women as a form of control. It's not a lack of ability to educate them this is by design of their government.

For a visa like this to work you'd need the government and the Men of the country to be in agreement with it happening. That currently isn't the case. Providing a visa that almost no one will be able to use even if they wanted too would not only not help but could easily be something that's pointed to as "we're already providing a way for them to get educated and we don't have to do anything else."

  • Did you do this OP? Cause I've seen something similar as a joke Christmas gift. It doesn't seem like a great way to stop someone drinking but it is might be a funny gift. Especially to someone who isn't very handy and won't be able to get through the casing.

  • Most non-poaching clauses in non-competes specify that the person signing it can't recruit employees from their old work, usually for X number of years. Microsoft almost certainly didn't sign any non-competes and unless Sam Altman is the one making this offer there aren't any non-compete violations happening.

  • Polling in the US hasn't been super accurate the last few go rounds. That's likely due to the market being flooded with shitty low efficacy polls but it does make it hard to believe news that announce "polling says"

  • There's no way farming was only done 5 sporadic months of the year, that livestock keeping would allow you to just fuck off and not work that frequently, and they often did things like produce parts of their own cloths etc which I would count that much sewing/darning to be work let along the rest of the homesteading requirements...

  • Thank you, this comment made me feel a lot better that I maybe wasn't just being flat out incompetent right out the gate. Their questions made me feel pretty stupid and I appreciate your suggesting that its somethings I might just not have been exposed too before as my job is very not tech centric.

  • It probably also helps the report rise to the level of "exceptional" if the reporter understands anything about the backend. If you don't know what your even looking at its hard to explain tech specifics in detail about it.

I am not tech savvy and I had to report a bug at work for a website/program I have to use. My report was basically "X isn't working [picture of x not working]". Microsoft started asking me about my license number and something called RLS...I don't know any of that. I don't even know where to find that. I can barely Google that. I took 7 page clicks and 10 minutes just to submit the bug in the first place... My bug reports are shit because I dont know what Im looking at, an IT person probably would have included most of the info they were asking for in the original report.
