  • Act 3 is pretty janky at times and they seriously need to give you vertical camera controls (xcom figured this out like 15 years ago!) but it’s still a fantastic game. Lots of valid critiques, but still a great game

  • The sad reality is no matter how winnable your case is, companies can still bury you for years and consume every free moment of your life and then some. For many people, these court battles become their entire life for several years. It can cost them everything.

  • I feel like I don’t need to explain to folks around here that companies will lawyer up and basically use the legal system to harass and intimidate regardless if they have standing or not if they think you are small enough to be bullied into stopping a behavior. Which I assure you your average instance admin is.

  • all the r—- NPC’s

    1. Who straight faced says NPC’s?
    2. It isn’t 1999 don’t use that word.
  • I am not going to thank the unpaid volunteers who make the fediverse possible by getting them C&D letters/legal threats.

  • Doesn’t matter, these are unpaid volunteers standing up instances. Most, if not all, have no desire to fight that battle on their own dime.

  • Not at this rate and not nearly as many studios close per year.

  • Because you should be boostin’

  • “Wouldn’t it be cool if…”

  • But why would sorting by color solve that for me?

This feels more like an interesting solo hack together project on GitHub that one can take lessons from than an enterprise solution to any sort of issue or feature request.

  • The problem with this comic is that (evangelion spoiler)

    ::: spoiler spoiler

the entire reason the angels are attacking humanity was manufactured by a few humans. Shenji is being forced to clean up his dad’s/NERV’s mess.

This comic is placing responsibility on and shaming Shenji, the stand in for a person who just wants to watch a cat video. That doesn’t really track to me.

I’m not saying folks shouldn’t do anything just because they aren’t directly responsible. But there’s a little bit too much shame in this post for my taste.

  • Once the rockets are up, who cares where they come down! That's not my department, say Wernher von Braun!

  • I get this post and everyone's comments here. You're not wrong. The issues is we often have to go where people already are. It's annoying, it's inefficient, but ultimately the best tool is worthless if no one comes over to it. Classic chicken-egg problem ultimately.

  • You can edit titles here unlike reddit just fyi

  • While I agree that is not a great look, as long as they aren’t selling my location data and such I don’t really care. I only use it to go from a specific point A to point B, not look things up/find things.

  • I’m not casting blame. I’m just mentioning a limitation/something people should expect

  • I’ve been using Organic Maps for about six months now and I would say it is my go to for 80% of my trips. It’s pretty solid, but it definitely has limitations. One major thing you have to get use to is it doesn’t track traffic patterns at all, so you’re not always going to get the best routes and your trip estimates are generally off by a fair bit. I keep Apple Maps as my back up since I trust them slightly more than Google.
