  • Biden: Grants clemency indiscriminately for 1,500 people indiscriminately Media: Why did you let the Cash for Kids woman free Biden: Commutes death sentences selectively Media: Who made you judge, jury and executioner?

FIFY... Real people honestly wouldn't care about any of this if the media wasn't trying to inspire outrage.

  • It isn't really an 'agreement', it is power. Money is power, and that makes Musk extremely powerful. He has shown that he can literally buy congress - either directly, or by threatening to back challengers. And while trump has the title of President, he doesn't have the power: it has been shown that trump backing a person just isn't enough to get them elected any more, unlike Musk's money backing a person.

  • Why the flying fuck would anyone want a home automation system that isn't voice controlled?

I don't want a voice assistant controlled by Google, Amazon, or Apple... but I value it so much I'm willing to compromise until there's a better option. This is a huge step in the right direction.

I setup my voice activated lights when my daughter was an infant. It was great being able to sit in a chair and rock her to sleep and be able to say "Google, it's nap time" and have the lights properly adjust, and the fan turn on. I also use it in my office when I have a video call to adjust the lights so my camera looks better. I can also lock my door, adjust my HVAC, and play music without needing to stop doing whatever I'm busy with.

  • It's a good thing The Wealthy don't know that this is coming, otherwise they'd stir shit up and cause multiple wars around the globe that will eventually pull in every other nation, so that the people will start focusing on winning wars and not focusing on why we're fighting them in the first place. I'd hate to see what would happen if The Wealthy knew what they were doing.

  • My local minor league hockey team would have the concession stands staffed with volunteers, and their tips would go towards their kids sports teams. This wouldn't be so bad if the food prices reflected the fact that they weren't paying for labor. A can of beer for $14. A small hotdog for $8. Popcorn for $6. And then you get told "I'm a volunteer, all tips go to support my kids team". It was hard to train myself to hit the "No Tip" button, but eventually it got easier.

And then, as if it couldn't get worse, they moved to a new arena that has completely automated concession checkouts. You grab what you want, put it on a counter that has a camera and it tallies it up for you. It's an amazing process... but then, it asks you to tip.

And while I'm bitching... they also went ticketless, all tickets require a smartphone. And they charge for the convenience of them using my device too help them deliver tickets. Same with parking, must pay using your phone and there's a $0.50 convenience charge.

  • It also needs people hosting instances. The majority of the time when I want to view a video that's hosted on Peertube I find that it is no longer available. Hosting video is expensive and this is going to be the biggest hurdle for the platform to overcome.

  • First, another fucking Pennsylvania McDonald's getting involved where it shouldn't. I'm done eating at McDonald's in Pennsylvania now.

But I wonder if this was intentional. Now we all get to hear what he has to say. Hopefully he turns out to be a leader.
