  • Genuine question - why is that deemed a good answer? I'd expect an actual solution for a child to be more apropriate than humiliating an adult later in life. Like the suggestions telling to start singing it yourself, wrongly, seem much more effective and appropriate to me.

Full disclosure tho: Not a parent and no plans to ever be one

  • I mean, they could just choose to not participate. Especially now that it's still new, if they can't get many (or any) top athletes to participate, it will likely flop.

And if someone does choose to participate, well, they are free to risk their lives for a few million more imo. At the end of the day, these people are paid ludicrous amounts of money to run in circles or jump or throw stuff. Not exactly an essential job and easily replaced by another goon desperate for their five minutes of fame. It would be sad if they got hurt, sure, but they bring it upon themselves by being in that industry in the first place.

  • Nope, PC. But honestly now that I know of the feature it won't be an issue anymore. In fact, as many have pointed out, it can be very useful if something is messed up. Given that the distro is atomic that chance is slim, but still.

  • Ah then I don't know what steam was installing XD. It did download and install something before installing Valheim, so I assumed it had to do with compatibility. Either way, I'm just happy that it works, and works well :)

  • What Remains of Edith Finch comes to mind for me.

In the game, you play Edith Finch going back to her family home. It was home to multiple generations of the Finch family. This family has a serious case of bad luck, and most of them didn't get very old. As Edith, you explore all of the rooms and see the final moments of the person who used to live there.

It is not a horror game - but it is haunting, in a sense. If you enjoy good stories and writing, give it a try. It's only about 2 hours, and best played in a single sitting. It's also on sale regularly.

  • Yeah exactly. I wonder how Trump would've responded if anyone in the room asked him if he would have used diplomacy had he been president during Pearl Harbour or 9/11. I'd have loved to see him squirm his way out of that one after he stated that Zelensky needs to be open for concessions in exchange for peace.

  • That really depends on the political views. If someone's belief is that certain groups do not deserve to exist/live, or at least doesn't care enough about those views of the party they voted for, that is absolutely reason enough to cut them out of your life.

  • I believe the impact was mostly to do with the visuals. And, honestly, that is very fair. While it is inctedibly dull and cringe story-wise, the visuals are phenominal, especially since the movie is now already 15 years old.

I feel the same way about Jurassic Park in that sense, though it is much less cringe than Avatar (but still pretty basic story-wise).
