How would nominating a dem VP by Dems via voting cause a civil war?

And if it's just for one party vs both, what would that be bad?

I get why it was changed for VP for the dem vs Republican nominee. But why wouldn't we want, as a party, better representation on who we voted for.

Maybe it's the time to go back to how things were when the US was founded. We have a vote and top two are President and VP nominees. Keeps the party aligned to what we actually care about and who we think is best, vs who the nominee or party thinks might be best.

Is no one else looking at this line the school district is at this point just pulling every possible book that could match the description of the law in purpose to make a point?

One teacher made a complaint about a couple of books so they said fine, well just remove everything else that this bill could possibly touch. Just to prove how ambiguous and far stretching this law can go?

Of course they shouldn't pull a dictionary but it matches the description. This is to test the law.

My new favorite is looking for a pulse. Some movie I watched recently panned to the dead guy, clear pulse on neck, but checks pulse says no pulse he's dead then it cuts back to him with his jugular still pulsing. Pretty funny to see

We're about to learn if the FDA has more authority over drugs than our judicial system.

If the US goes the route of judges having more say over drugs than the FDA, we consumers won't be able to trust what is on the market. Personal bias and beliefs will be the reason we will have certain drugs or not vs their actual scientific and medical merit.

We'll be screwed and trust in drugs will fall even lower

I believe there is an initiative by some big banks to push for wire transfers to be done via a blockchain as opposed to slow ach transfers.

They call it quantum computing or something like that... but seemed like it had potential to solve some issues with slow banking

It's a risk for the actor and studio. Pay more now or later potentially if it is actually good.

Anyone have some recommendations for best of Top gear episodes. Love these guys and watched for a few years, but felt weird watching old episodes at one point. Trying to keep up with new cars, and watching old episodes made me feel weird going back. Now, I think I can enjoy them for what it is.

My mentality is, do what you can, when you can. It seems overwhelming, because it is and it isn't just on you to control. It is mostly on the world governments and corporations to actually start initiatives to stop this from getting worse, and then actually get better later on.

You, yourself, cannot du much to influence change, and your impact with the things you choose to do to help, honestly won't help much in the grand scheme of things unfortunately.

So recycle, get a hybrid, or electric car when you can. Contribute to organizations that support the cause but don't stress about what you can do in the short term.
