  • This is how any company reacts to any viral reaction to any topic. Companies do not want to be associated with any controversy whatsoever. Easier to just fire the person and move on.

Not saying this is right, but a viral anti or pro Nazi, pro or anti whatever post that your company catches wind of will get you fired.

  • I think if you only watch the original trilogy, Jedi are the good, pure, saviors of the galaxy and rebels of the established order and the sith are evil overlords who rule by their own design.

When you watch the original you see how the Jedi appear good and balanced, but over the trilogy become less focused on ruling by laws and more on feelings. Clearly bypassing their own laws as it suits those in charge.

Subsequent tv series continuously adds to that mindset that the Jedi were flawed, and sometimes outright dangerous.

I always saw the Jedi assuming the chosen one myth was about the Jedi becoming the absolute rulers so egotistical, they were destined to fail.

And as flawed as the new trilogy is, it follows that path, leading to Rey becoming a true balanced force user, neither Jedi or sith. And both have seemingly been destroyed otherwise. So Rey is really the chosen one

  • I mean this is a good idea, but the opposite of the question stated. Are there no think tanks to implement liberal solutions as opposed to stopping or fixing conservatives policies.

Why can't we scheme as well as conservatives?

  • They settle right next to existing Palestinian towns. Then surround them by expanding. Create better infrastructure. Then exclude the Palestinians and ensure they are treat as other or not equal.

  • I've also heard negatives about oatmeal. Like hard to absorb. As a plant, like kale absorbs all nutrients, good and bad, which doesn't balance out.

Cheap calories, but I think it's not a super food.

  • Ai llms have learned from us. Good and bad. It doesn't know the difference between good and bad unless you tell it.

So you have to know what's good or bad from the get go before using it and trusting it yet.

And some blindly trust ai already... Which its far from that level of trust

  • “until something works" At least you're doing a better job than some people.

Some leave it at will ai told me so. And they don't know better and put that into prod!

  • Well said. This is a very complicated subject that people always try to simplify down to a current issue at hand. There's never a true "right" answer, and isn't one that leaves all parties without some suffering.

  • Godspeed to all the brain dead idiots who will sign up for this, and will become even more literally brain dead after getting the implant.

  • Well... So the first one birthed is the youngest person alive for at least some fraction of a second, and when the other twin is born, they'll also be youngest alive for a second.

  • I didn't know this was how adblockers and sites worked in general.

If the html file is on the users device and they overwrite it, via an ad blocker, that is in their rights as the property owner of the machine.

Seems like sites need to get creative in new ways to force ads, which I'm sure will be a different kind of intrusive, instead of trying to push their ownership into the space of the users systems.

  • Secret Service and local PD absolutely deserve to get reemed out and punished for this gross incompetence and security failure.

This is a huge issue that needs to be remedied quickly, else all our current and future politicians are at risk from internal or foreign enemies of the state. Regardless of your political alignment, all our politicians deserve a secure environment without risk to their own lives.

Anyone that blows this off as, it was just Trump, is massively underestimating the scale of this issue.

  • Being VP and calling for a ceasefire vs a President calling for a ceasefire is very different.

But I agree she is further left than Biden and am more eager to support her then when Biden was running.

  • You're right. Kamala is about as centrist as you can get with the only thing going for her being the current VP.

No one the could even possibly jump in and be a better candidate, but a two primary without Biden burdening it would have been better to nominate a true Dem candidate.

  • Exactly! I'm glad you understand. And weren't overly aggressive or anything.

Unless tails has the option to regrow said fingers or arm. You need to move forward with what is fair for everyone.

It's pretty much impossible to balance anything after the fact. You need to have a forward thinking mentality for progress to be made.

  • Wasn't there a space fight with horses on the wing of a star destroyer in the rise of Skywalker?

  • Good. There were many errors made by the secret service, and they've given a 60 day timeline to produce a report to share what happened that day. Which is way too much time given the seriousness of the event that occurred and with the election date fast approaching.

She deserves to be fired after her response to Congress.

  • Let's simplify this down to a coin flip.

Now for a long time, heads has been weighted to be the result for a while. So say the last 50 flips, it was 40 heads and 10 tails.

So you evaluated the coin and realize it's imbalanced. Would you weigh the tails side so the next 50 flips show more tails so that over the 100 total flips, it's balanced?

Or do you remove the imbalance completely, and can say the next 50 will be fair.

Statistics would say the later, but seems people feel the first option would make it "fair" even though it's not balanced.

  • Ok, but that's for the EC and for presidential and VP nominees by the EC.

In the dnc we have delegates with 1 vote for their nominee. If the delegates vote for 1 dem and another gets the 2nd amount of votes, then they'd be Pres and VP nominees for the dnc. Or actually do ranked choice for dnc nominees to get voter ranking of nominees.

How is it better for a presidential nominee to pick who they want vs listening to the peoples actual preferences.
