  • From a quick video I saw, they seem similar indeed, but I haven't played Thrive enough. I have only made it to a single-cell prokaryotic organism, lol (which is basically very close to the beginning of the game).

  • Simutrans

Can I finally create a city with proper public transportation, full of trams???😳

Wait, there's opentdd, another similar game👀

  • Is this something like counterstrike/tf2? Seems interesting

Edit: I see there are Assault Cube, Assault Cube reloaded, Xonotic etc. Didnt know there were so many

  • Mindustry, SuperTuxKart and Thrive probably

  • Thunder is probably the best for me so far (it has the ability to show upvotes/downvote the way I want).

I used Infinity for reddit back in the day and I see eternity is about to have a new release, so I might or might not switch to eternity.

Those two seem to be the best I've found.

  • Yes, it's my main back up app. (The latest update kinda broke it though, I think first time happening, but the issue was spotted and will be fixed.) The only big limitation (which might have been fixed actually) is backing up and restoring app on work profile (anything other than user0).

For work profile apps, I use DataBackup.

  • Magisk had some incompatibility issues with lsposed-zygisk, which nearly resulted in losing my phone in a permanent bootloop, but I fixed it by flashing some images.

I now use Apatch on my Mi 10, running xiaomi.eu HyperOS 1

PS. I even tried KSU, by compiling a kernel for my phone after watching a ~40minute video on Portuguese with english automated subtitles, lol. Apatch has a much smoother procedure than that and kinda has the benefits of KSU.

  • Yeah, I might buy an eink reader one day, they seem useful (at least if I find one I can freely modify its software?). Especially because I don't have much physical space to store books.

I'm in the beginning of the second book, so not much to comment about it, but I liked the first one, lots of action and nice characters/world :)

Good luck with the french books😄

  • I haven't tried, but if you're on linux you could try puddletag. OneTagger is very powerfull too (and cross platform). I also have some extra tools that may help you in this guide I made here (it's a guide on how to semi-automatically download and tag music, for a windows pc).

  • Is there any way you can save the words you've looked up?

Yes, aard2 has both history and bookmarks (though both limited to 100 most recent words), so I might just start revising them when I stop reading for the day.

Also thanks for your kind words :)😊

  • I actually started by reading pirated digital literature books on my phone and my tablet ~2 years ago, but I eventually switched to paper books about a year ago. I think I disliked the fact that I had to stare at a screen to read, because I'm already a lot of time on my phone and after a point it causes discomfort.

Fun fact, reading was what helped me reduce my reddit time. I swapped the shortcut of infinity (reddit) app with Librera FD (document reader) on my screen and it really worked somehow. Some times I even opened the reader by mistake due to muscle memory, lol. Soon enough though, the api changes came and got kinda hooked again, on Lemmy this time. At least it's for a kinda good cause.🤷

  • Haha indeed, on Greek books it goes very smoothly, but on any other language I start and stop all the time

  • Oh thank you, I guess I should find some balance then between ignoring and searching up words.

Also tnx about the Anki/flashcards suggestion, might look into it in the future.

  • I switched to DroidFS from EDS lite (a kinda dead open source alternative) few months ago. It's soooo nice.

I think it's the first app that can open a big video without allocating that space in internal storage. Previously, if I had a 1gb encrypted video, apps would decrypt it in internal storage and play it, temporarily taking up an extra gigabyte (this was an issue if I didn't have enough space).

I'm using gocryptfs because I actually kinda like seeing the file structured, in case I need to delete a folder or file without decrypting the storage, and I can decrypt those files on pc too (I think both windows and linux have an app for this).

  • Aw, thank you for your help

  • all those talented female lyricists and R&B singers who got Thanos snapped out of existence in the late 90s because they didn't want to sell sex

I dont know much about 90s music😅, could you please share some of those lyricists and singers (or suggest any of their songs)? I'm interested in listening to some of their songs :)

Kinda sad that I wasn't much aware of this issue..

  • Drinking my 4th liter of water today lol (yesterday I probably exceeded 6liters, if I include milk consumption)
