  • I've done this for 20 years for my cooler at festivals. Freeze 2L bottles of water for ice blocks. Drink said water after they defrost.

  • Well put. I've been twice, 25 years ago and 8 years ago. Some aspects are really cool. Burners can also be insufferable, especially when they make it their entire identity IMO. I will never go back either. Also too old for that shit.

  • Great advise. I have always been into fashion and spend prefer to have excitement clothes albeit a lesser quantity. I've always washed cold and hang dried. It takes more effort, but I have some tshirts that have lasted 20 years.

  • I got stuck at a festival once the same way. We were stuck for 3 days. It was pretty fun. Everyone just piled all the food and booze in a pile and shared.

  • Yeh I think these are currently like $400-500 here in Canada. My boss just ordered one (or something similar), interested to see how they function.

    I had to install shutoffs in a unit this week and building management refused to shut the water off (for the floor).

    I used a Rigid Super Freeze and it worked really well. Installed all 5 shutoffs without a disaster.

    Full disclosure, I'm a carpenter/project manager, not a plumber by trade.

    Rented from United Rentals, which is North America-wide I believe.
